‘No way Di Angelo! You know I always train on Sunday mornings, you can’t use this part of the arena now!’

‘How the hell am I supposed to know your schedule (l/n)?’

‘You should know it because I see you every Sunday morning and you see me too!’

Nico flushes red ‘You’ll live one day without sword practice (y/n), besides I got here first.’ He smirks before turning away from you and focusing back on the dummy target.

He swings his sword, about to hit the dummy when his sword is intervened by yours. He looks up shocked, as you push him back with your own sword.

‘Fight me for the dummy Di Angelo.’

His frown turns into a grin ‘Gladly.’

You knew of course, that you were being stupid about the whole practice timing. Normally you’d be glad to let someone practice first, but this time it was Di Angelo. Just the thought of him made your skin crawl in a not very nice way and your heart would speed up angrily whenever he smiled at you.

Nobody knew why you loathed the child of Hades, he’d done nothing to you or at least that’s what everyone thought. In truth Nico Di Angelo did do something to you, even though he didn’t know how he made you feel.

You’d realize a long time ago how you felt about Nico, and it scared you. You were terrified that you at the raw age of 15 could feel such strong feelings. It scared you so badly that you buried those feelings deep, deep down and instead let out all your frustration and anger at him.

Was that fair towards him? No, but what choice did you have, you didn’t want get hurt again. It had happened too many times with your so-called ‘family’.

The fight was getting dangerous, as cracks began to appear in the ground at Nico’s feet and the waves at the beach getting rougher with every clash of your swords. Thankfully your brother Percy ran up, interrupting the fight.

‘The two of you need to calm down!’ Percy says, holding onto one of yours and Nico’s shoulder.

Instead of replying Nico shrugs off Percy’s hand, walking away. ‘Whatever.’ He mutters. Nico honestly didn’t understand why he put up with you, no he was wrong.

He did know why but he wasn’t about to admit it to himself. How could he possibly fall for someone who clearly hated his guts more than monsters did?

‘Love is stupid.’ He mumbles under his breath, not even realizing what he’d just said as he slams the door of his cabin shut.

Later

You were being dragged into the Big House by your brother Percy and his girlfriend Annabeth, the two looking excitedly at one another. What could they be so enthusiastic about? You wondered as the three of you sat down in front of Chiron.

You soon found out that you, Annabeth and Percy had been chosen to go on a quest. You were ecstatic! That is until a dark figure walked into the room and lit fireworks through your body.

You were speechless.  Nico and you on the same quest? You were pretty sure you’d either end up kissing the living daylight out of him, or killing him.

‘Sorry I’m late, what did I miss?’ Nico asks

‘No need to worry Nico, I’m sure (y/n) will fill you in on the quest details. Now, off to dinner the lot of you. You’ve got a big day tomorrow.’ Chiron says before walking out of the House.

‘Percy, you can fill Di Angelo in.’ you state coldly before racing out of the House leaving what looked like a hurt looking Di Angelo behind.
