Christmas Parties

I have never done something like this before so please bare with me!

Another Christmas party. You scoffed at the cheesy Christmas music coming from the Aphrodite cabin as you walked towards it.

Drew had insisted on hosting a Christmas party this year, pestering Chiron non-stop for weeks on end until he finally gave in.

Your best friends had pestered you to go to the party, stating that it would do a bookworm like you some good.

'Come on (y/n)! We're late, plus I bet Nico will be there!' you turned crimson as you were dragged into the cabin, the place was cramped with people and the dim lighting made it hard for you to make your way to the food.

You got to the table, grabbed a packet of crisp and turned around, you couldn't see Nico anywhere. There were people dancing, laughing and just having a good time.

This was going to be a long party...

An hour later.

'Alright everyone! We are going to be playing a game now, so everybody out!' Drew's shrill voice sounded above the music. 'I need everyone to sit in a circle on the floor outside.'

'What are we playing Drew?' you heard Percy yell out as everyone spilled out of the room into the field.

Drew stood opposite towards where you sat 'We are going to play...7 minutes in heaven.' She claps her hands together in excitement.

Immediately the crown burst into talks of excitement. You looked around, eyes wide with shock. Though you should have seen it coming. You mentally cringed. You weren't exactly on the dating radar right now.

Plus you were in love with someone. You didn't want to end up in a cabin with anybody that wasn't Nico Di Angelo. Yes technically you were in love with your best friend but he didn't have to know, since you were pretty sure he did not feel the same way as you.

Drew placed an empty bottle in the middle of the circle, just as she was about to spin it, the door of the cabin burst opened.

'Sorry I'm late! What did I miss?' Nico stood awkwardly at the door, fiddling with the skull ring on his finger.

Drew grinned widely as she rushed over to usher him in. 'No problem! We were just about to start playing 7 minutes in heaven. You're just in time.'

Nico looks at her with a terrified look on his face. 'Ok...' he takes a seat next to you

'Hey.'

'Hey, didn't think you were coming.' He just shrugs.

'Alright, ready?' Drew spins the bottle, and the game begins.

Later.

Countless numbers of people had been in and out of the cabin and you were getting bored. Not that you wanted to get into the cabin. Well maybe with Nico...but you were pretty sure that was never going to happen.

'Alright guys. The next one!' Drew said as she spun the bottle again. This time, it landed on you.

You shook your head signalling a no, you looked at Nico who himself looked really shocked and a bit uncomfortable. Drew spins the bottle again.

This time it landed just to your right...on Nico.

Drew clapped her hands together and gushed 'Awwww! Alright guys! Get in there, you have 7 minutes.'

The two of you awkwardly walked towards the cabin. Your thoughts along the line of 'oh gods kill me Nico is going to hate me but I'm kinda excited as well.'

Nico walks in first and your heart races as you feel the door slam behind you. You knew

Nico didn't want to be in here with you, so you looked at the Child Of Hades in front of you sadly and said 'Look Nico, I know you don't really want to be in here with me so we don't have to do anyth-' your sentence was cut short by Nico who grabbed you by the waist and leaned down, capturing your lips with his. Your eyes shut in an instant as you lace your finger in his hair.

The two of you stumble backwards, still kissing until your back hits the cold wall. You let out a small 'oof' as your back hit the wall.

Nico chuckles against your lips causing you to shiver 'sorry (y/n)' you just kiss him back harder. 'jump' he says, you wrap your legs around his torso, tightening your grip in his hair making him groan.

'(y/n)' he breaths as he pulls away and starts kissing you neck. You moan as he starts making his way up to your mouth again.

'(y/n)...i've always liked you' his voice is deeper that usual.

'i've always liked you too Nico' you say as he slides his hands under your shirt. 'Nico...' you pulled him closer, there was not enough skin contact between the two of you.

It seemed like Nico could read your mind because he set you down and took his jacket off.

Just then the door burst open, Drew standing at the door. She smirked at the state of the two of you 'time's up guys!'

Nico slides his hand around you waist, as the two of you sit back down in the circle, hand in hand. This was definitely the best Christmas party you've been to!

OK! Day 1 of the countdown done! I hope you guys enjoyed this one-shot,

this is my first time writing something like this so it probably wasn't the best. Anyway!
