January 4, 2021. Liverpool.

"I am not leaving this college, without two murders."

Lily snaps vehemently, and passes the ball to me. I catch hold of it, dribbling it with determination.

"Really, that's- fascinating."

"Of course it is. One, being Hardin Scott, and the other being professor Nicholas Collins!" She runs around, standing bent in front of me and I dodge past her, shooting at the basket with all my force, hearing his name.

"Count me in, for the first one!" The ball hits the rim with a bang and falls down. Lily scoops it and dribbles back.

"Day's over, we're supposed to be at home, licking nutella off the lid and binge watching Lucifer, but no! Instead we are here, in a deserted basketball court, playing a sport that we don't even know how to play, what the actual fuck!"

She shouts out, as she shoots the ball in frustration herself, and it falls almost a foot afar from the basket.

I laugh. That's bad. It bounces up and down and I hold it, bringing it back into the court.

"Collins said he wanted to meet the Council, maybe it's something. You had a whole semester break to lick nutella off lids, Lily!"

I dribble the ball around, hopping a few steps, and I shoot again, missing by several inches. Damn!

"He needs to hook up."

The ball drops with a thud, and I grab it, passing it to Lily, with an amused chuckle.

She catches it, holding it to her chest, and I narrow my eyes in confusion. What, is she doing, why is she hugging the basketball?

"This, is for bloody Har-ass-din Sc-ar-tt!"
