I close my eyes in utmost gratification, and an involuntary moan escapes my lips. I so needed this. It feels like every inch of trouble, melts and drips away, from me. Like my body is letting off steam, and burning away fatigue.

"Not there, oi. Higher." I say out, and the movement pauses momentarily, followed my a spank and I just groan.

"Do not tell me how to do it."

"It's just the wrong area, okay?"

"As if you would know." I hear a scoff and I snap open my eyes in surprise.

"Of course I would. I oiled and massaged your hair first, and from your reaction, I'd say I knew the best points."

Lily gives me the finger, and continues running her fingers through my hair, pressing my scalp softly, and not-so-softly when I pass out a comment. My head rocks up and down, due to her movement and I take the time to silently think what Hardin was doing at the attorney office last week. He can't be following me, no he's done with... this.

"Lily did you get anything about that video? I kind of asked Josh and Tristan, and they wouldn't get a word out of themselves, and why not." I scoff with anger and irritation.

"No. I cornered every single mean girl barbie friend of Bitchman, even forcefully checked out their phones, but nothing. Apparently they do have some brains, I mean after her suspension, who wouldn't prefer to be safe."

She has a point. Everybody is playing safe and now I'm so massively screwed. The only remaining alternative is to find the site, and the thought of it existing alone is mortifying.

"Did you decide on your internship?"

Lily breaks my chain of thoughts, and I know this is her distraction mechanism, for the both of us, because right now the chances of this case succeeding is very bleak.

I spread my legs straight on the carpet that I have been sitting, and she stops her massaging, slouching back into the sofa she was on.

I smack her leg, that dangles on my side and she straightens up, resuming.

"Yeah, I've applied to some companies. For business tech analyst. Mr. Sommers gave me a list."

"He gave you a list?"

"Yeah, went all I-know-you-have-so-much-capability on me, said I had to bag a good one, not settle for mediocres. I applied to some last week, I should hear back soon."

She chuckles behind me and I smile myself.

"You sure he was talking about the internship?" She draws out her words teasingly.

"No I'm sure he meant the rebound, what about you?" I deadpan.

"Oh I'm interning at the Henderson Hospital."

My face twists in bewilderment. What even-

"Hospital?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna intern as a nurse."

I blink repeatedly. I'm not even sure if she's serious or just being sarcastic. Nurse? Hospital? She doesn't even take Biology. It's so mind blowing, in all the negative way, to imagine Lily running around a hospital, with her too-sudden-too-red hair as a nurse. I can almost see the unbelieving faces of the patients.

"Really? Why?"

"It has a certain poetry to it, don't you think?" Her voice comes out dreamy and far off, and I almost turn around to punch her head down, but I don't because I know she'd stop the massage if I did.
