"Whoop-" I stumble, on the plain, clean, tiled floor of Hardin's apartment foyer.

Lily grabs me by the upper arm and I giggle.

We both walk into the living room, Brit following close behind. My hair sits in a loose DIY bun held roughly with a pen I stole from Collins and Hardin's blazer rests lazily over my shoulders because I didn't bother to throw my arms into the sleeves.

I pull the lapels closer to myself, taking a light sniff.

It smells of cinnamon, expensive laundry detergent and- him.

Brit squirms through, between Lily and me, pacing to reach the couch and plops down instantly, sprawled out.

It makes Lily turn a full 180, facing the elevator in a confused, stupid daze and I turn her back around by her dress at the waist.

I settle at the end of the same couch, a bit thrown off at Brit's comfort level, but then again, she is the sister of one owner and dating the other- so she has a double claim.

After hours of standing in these heels amidst dazzling crystals, watching Hardin explain some AI hologram tech behind it- just watching him from afar and not be able to do anything-

and all the champagne I took to withstand my body's pent up frustrations, my muscles feel tense.

I'm not exactly 'can't make out th e difference between Santa Claus and Albus Dumbledore' kind of drunk, but I feel a little 'I'm flying' kind of tipsy.

Hardin and Trev had to wrap things up at the installation and Josh offered to stay for help. But Brit wanted to return so all three of us decided to sleepover right here, Lily and me borrowing a comfortable change of clothes each.

"You two grandmas, should I book a ward?" Lily huffs, standing in front of us.

I roll my eyes while Brit smiles with her eyes closed.
