I stride along the hallway, fishing out my bottle of water to drink. My nerves are still a bit excited with the whole episode, but the look on Hardin's face was priceless. Though I still wonder if he'll react aggressively to it. Everyone knows he doesn't do well with-
I feel a grip on my arm pulling me into a room, and I go 'oh shit, already?' But it turns out to be a different case. I sigh deeply, thinking how jumpy this boy makes me.
"Lily, what are you doing? This- this is the chemistry lab."
She leaves my hand and walks to rest against one of the long tables lined neatly, with a whole garage of things placed on them. I never did like the subject, I think ruefully.
"It's empty right. Anyway, what have you been doing?" She places her hands flat on the table by her sides, and I lean against the table directly opposite to hers.
"Hardin mopped coffee with my favourite sweater." I grit irritatedly and she snorts in amusement.
"Burn!"
I widen my eyes in shock, and a sense of treachery, when she changes her laughing face into a serious one.
"So I splashed water on him." I say with a small proud smile, and this time she gives me a fist bump.
"Double burn, that's it."
She looks so much better today. Happy, cheerful, unhurt. Her black eyes are bright in their sockets and her flaming red hair looks so majestic on her. It gives me a warm feeling.
"What about you?" I ask her, as I keep my bottle on the table beside me.
"I got an internship."
I look at her surprised, and my face breaks out in a wide uncontrollable grin.
"Really? Where?"
"IBC Interiors Inc, I start in a week." She squeals excitedly, and I take her in for a hug with a laugh.
