Every time. Every time, Brandon tells me to enjoy my day, I end up having an awesomely terrible one.
I scribble against my notebook, trying to complete my business studies assignment, so I can squeeze in a free period for the play. Lily sits on one side of me, typing something on her laptop, occasionally sipping her smoothie, and Brit sits on my other, reading through her script.
Hardin's words echo, over and over, and I push it to the back of my unsettling head.
"Tessa, you're really going to do that? I mean, Trevor can get expelled, this is- bad." Brit speaks up in a serious tone and my pen halts on the page.
You can't do that to Trevor. You would never.
"Of course she won't, Brit what is wrong with you?" Lily chirps, looking up at her, with a scoff.
"But she told Hardin-"

"What did Brandon say?"I blink, recollecting the whole episode in his office, and looking at the white of my paper, narrate everything to her.
"He said that he was against the violence, but he believed that Trevor would not do it without reason. He thinks the problem to have started from the other side. He's, with him on this.
For better representation of the student group, the Board had given the Student Council representative a right to a double vote.
So when the motion is made, the Board, Founder Council, Teachers' representative, and Student Council taken together, it will be in Trevor's favour. I have given the vote, I need to attend the meeting where it'll be announced so- nothing, happens to Trevor."
I finish with a quiet whisper, and after a minute, resume my writing.
"And Hardin doesn't know?" Brit asks and I sigh.
"When it comes to not knowing things, your brother is a bloody professional." Lily mutters and I look up at Brit finally.
"Nobody knows, yet."
Brit's face visibly relaxes, and her expression shifts to an understanding one.
"So that was-"
