Lily and I enter the auditorium, and suddenly I'm thrown off by the memories of all the times I've been here, running back into my head.
The elections, the fundraiser, the felicitations. Before, during and after... Hardin. No, do not, think of him, Tessa.
I close my mind off to everything and go on to stand with the rest of the Council. Which means he's here.
I have made peace with the fact that he is a part of this place and that I'm eventually going to have to see him. Its no use stalling, or hiding.
I silently skim my eyes all around the room, and sure he stands with Josh and Tristan, engaged in some conversation. The mere sight of him, is a stabbing ache.

He turns, and our eyes lock. His stance is somewhat faltered, but he is quick to hide it with his signature I don't give a flying fudge face. Instead, he lifts a hand and waves his fingers, with a sweet smile.
I take an enraged step; I feel like ripping his head off, but Lily holds me back by my arm.

"So, as you already know, freshmen council will take care of the sports event, you have other things lined up this year. We'll be having a play organized jointly by the Drama and Literature departments, a pageant organized by the Department of Art and Design and an art inspired digital installation organized jointly by the Graphics Design and Digital Tech Departments. And you will be required to take up an internship this year."
