"Fuck!"
Sean's thunderous exclaim could be heard from the boardroom, making Marian and Emilia look at each other worriedly.
Everyone knew that once Sean reached a point in his anger, there was no going back. Everything would go to hell.
Shannon entered the room, having heard the commotion. "What the hell is going on?"
"The man who just came in here. He found Jack." Emilia relayed, quite put out that Sean had told her to stay out of it.
It was as if they were teenagers again and he would get himself into stupid fights, telling her to stay in the car while he got himself bruised up and bloody.
Sean walked past the room they were in, the unknown man and Ed trailing behind him. Seeing as he wouldn't be there to go against anything she planned on doing, she left the room to go to the boardroom.
There were men surrounding Jack but once they saw her, they all took a cautious step back as if Sean had warned them not to get too close to her.
Emilia looked down at a passed-out Jack, observing a broken hand and bruised torso, perhaps even a broken rib. As she looked around, she found a familiar face. "Mark, have you called a doctor?"
"Yes, Miss Orsini. We have." Mark answered, nodding his head at her.
Right as he said that, a man entered the room, requesting them all to step back. The doctor, Emilia presumed. The man did the usual check-ups, not at all fazed by the state of the man on top of the table. He had probably seen enough of that.
Jack woke up in the middle of all that, panting heavily as he spoke furiously. "Finn, I-I didn't d-do it. I-I wouldn't."
Taking her chances, Emilia stepped forward beside the doctor, clasping Jack's hand. "Yes, Jack. We know you didn't but you have to tell me, who did it?"
Jack looked at her with wide eyes, before spluttering out, coughing up blood as he did so. "Two k-kids. G443 SAV. P-please, make it s-stop."
The doctor shook his head, only confirming her suspicions, and giving Jack a sedative to stabilize his condition. He had exerted himself too much from all the chaos of the day. Well, he wasn't the only one.
But the night was far from over.
"What's happened?" Alex appeared inside the room, seeing sedated Jack. "What happened to Jack?"
"The doctor gave him a sedative. It will help him calm down," Emilia began. "Alex, Jack said some things. Some things that didn't make sense."
Alex looked at her for a second, before gesturing to her and Mark. "Come on then."
