"Sean, we have to go

"Sean, we have to go. Dinner, remember?"

Sean pressed a kiss to her neck, making her laugh softly. "What dinner? I'd much rather we stay right here, just like this."

The light outside began to dim, submerging the whole city of London in a grey aura. The Dumanis would surely arrive anytime soon and the table would have been arranged by now.

Despite that fact, Sean Wallace and Emilia Orsini were tangled up in a small bed, their clothes and hair messy. Their appearances showed exactly what they had been doing. Kissing, mostly. Messy, unapologetic, unadulterated kisses. Passionate kisses shared between two lovers.

She shoved him away from her, standing up from the bed and straightening her clothes. She tried to pat herself down, attempting to smoothen out the creases in her dress. Not that it did any good.

"Sean, come on, get up." Emilia kicked his ankle weakly as she found her purse full of her essentials. It wasn't necessary but one couldn't be too safe, as she tucked a small handgun inside.

He chuckled softly, sitting up. His shirt was askew and untucked, but his eyes showed nothing but joy. "Alright, I'm up. I'm up."

Sean smiled up at her, watching her brush her hair and apply more lipstick. Fuck, he didn't think it could be so easy to smile, to feel happy. Seeing her like that with him. Suddenly, everything and anything was possible.

Sensing him distracted, she glared at him playfully, leaning over the bed to whisper to him lowly. "If you don't get up, you can forget about continuing things later."

At the threat, Sean hopped from the bed, hurriedly tucking his shirt and running his hands through his hair. "No need to make such drastic threats, love."

Emilia turned to him, trying not to make obvious what his little pet name for her made her feel,  and making Sean think that she was going to kiss him. He leaned down expectantly, only for her to start rubbing at his lips roughly.

"You have lipstick smudged on your face." She explained, smirking as she wiped at his face.

He watched her as she did so, eyes twinkling. "I love you, Lia."

"I love you, Sean." She said, pressing a kiss to the side of his mouth.

Sean offered her his arm, and taking it, they walked down the stairs to see the house bustling with preparation.  Emilia saw Billy in the living room first, looking quite busy with something.

"Hey, you! You're looking spiffy." Emilia complimented, watching as he beamed.

Billy looked up at her, watching her. "You look beautiful, Emilia. Even though your hair's a bit messy in the back."
