Reeling from shock, Emilia didn't notice that she was still shaking.

Sean turned to her, seeing her holding the gun that had saved his life, her whole form visibly shaking.

Ed and Alex had gone off to clean up the mess. They were calling in reinforcements and guards, as well as doctors for Elliot. They were also having the house searched for any more stragglers that could prove to be a danger to the family.

Shannon had gone on to check on Danny, preparing to bring him back to their flat. Jacqueline had decided to go straight home, the events of that night dousing her in proverbial cold water, making her remember the reason for leaving in the first place.

Billy had holed up in his room, the effects of the relapse from the drugs falling upon him. Marian was staying with him, making sure that he wasn't getting any worse.

"Lia," Sean said, slowly pulling the gun from her grasp. He was careful not to startle her as she was clearly not herself.

"I-I killed someone," Emilia whispered, her wide blue eyes on the floor where the waitress had been.

From her gaze alone, he could tell how much it affected her. Her voice was small, no sign of the fiery girl who was not afraid of anything.

"You saved my life, Lia." He successfully pried the gun from her unsteady fingers, placing it on the table. He placed a hand on her face, making her turn away from the evidence of a gruesome scene. "Lia, look at me. You saved my life. I'd be dead if you hadn't done that."

Not knowing what else to do, she wrapped her arms around him, burying her face into the crook of his shoulder, finding comfort in the only place she had known to find it. "Sean."

"Yes, love. I'm here." He said, holding her to him tightly, taking comfort in having her right there in his arms. Safe and alright. "I'm right here."

Eventually, Emilia had calmed down from her panic, taking slow and steady breaths. She pulled back from him as if seeing their disheveled states for the first time.

"You need to have a bath, Sean." She said, pulling him along. "You've blood all over you."

They both climbed up the stairs, heading in the direction of Sean's bedroom. She sat on his bed as he went to his bathroom to clean himself up.

Her mind was going out of control with all the thoughts that seemed to circle around her head. Each thought was more troublesome than the last. This. This was exactly the reason why she left all those years. The secrets that would haunt them.
