~Flashback~

Alexander rides horseback through the forbidden forest. As he gets deeper and deeper into the woods, the air gets cooler, making him shiver. He trotted toward the hidden forest, cautiously avoiding the giant serpent's path. One look at this knight, and you could tell he was nervous. However, it wasn't because of the Basilisk.

"I can hear your teeth chattering all the way back here, my friend." King Jules says, following behind him on his own horse. "Am I to assume you're afraid?" The red hedgehog chuckles, "Ha, of course not. But it isn't a stretch to say I'm a bit nervous. This is my first time, after all."

The King snickers, "Ah, yes. First-time jitters. I know the feeling all too well. Just know, I shall be there for you as you were for me. So try to relax." Alexander sighs, "I wish May would have allowed me to be there during the process. I remember how bad it was for the Queen. I'd hate to imagine how much pain she was in by herself."

Jules nods, "I understand. I was quite alarmed when the outcome resulted in three instead of one. It was truly a rough day for her."

Alex suddenly stops his horse, "By the gods...what if it's more than one?!" Jules snickers, "Then, I guess that means you got your work cut out for you." Alexander frowns, "That's not helpful advice." "My dear friend, you are worrying far too much. There's no greater honor than being a father."

Jules absentmindedly smiles, "Seeing their beautiful faces for the first time, watching their first steps, teaching them new things; I tell you, it truly is the greatest pleasure the world has to offer. I guarantee it." Alexander groans, and they continue to ride.

As they head deeper into the forest, the air becomes noticeably cooler. As they ride, they suddenly hear a sneeze. Alexander chuckles, "Bless you, your highness." Jules frowns, "I didn't sneeze. I thought it was you..." They look at each other and then quickly pull out their swords. They hear another sneeze, but this time, they hear something shuffling inside the king's bag.

Alexander laughs, "Now I've seen plenty of strange things in this forest, my king, but this may be the first time I've seen a bag move on its own." King Jules scoffs, "Yes, well, I think we found the one who's been sneezing." "Uh oh..." They heard a small familiar voice say from the bag.

Jules quickly reaches into his bag and pulls out a three-year-old blue hedgehog. The small hedgehog had his eyes covered as he was being held, making Alexander chuckle. He slowly removes his hands and looks at Alexander. Alexander has a smug expression, "Bless you, my prince." The prince's ears droop as he feels his body being turned.

Once he's turned around, he's met with the King's scowl. The small prince sheepishly smiles, "Hi..." Jules growls, "Sonic..." Sonic yelps at his father's rough tone, "It was Sonia! She made me do it! We saw you were going to the forbidden forest, and then she said Manic and I aren't brave enough to go. Then I said I am brave enough to go, I'm always brave! So then she said, prove it. And I said I will, so I ran into the bag when you weren't looking, and then..."
