Everything Has Changed

Chapter Forty Four

I drove back home and everyone was still asleep. I sat the kids down and made them each a bottle. As I was in the middle of feeding Nikolai there was a knock at the door. I picked him up and went to answer the door.

"Oh. Hey Connor." I smile.

"Hey Liv. And hello baby Nik." He says grabbing Nikolai's hand.

"Come in." I say.

I turn around and sit back on the couch with Connor following behind me and sits on the chair next to me.

"Hey will you do me a favor?" I ask.

"Sure." He says.

"Will you feed him," I say passing Nikolai over to him, "while I get Luna started?"

"Sure thing." He says craddling Nik and feeding him.

I pick Luna up and grab her bottle and start feeding her. She is wide awake looking at me with her gorgeous little eyes. I smile at her and her eyes shimmer. She's so adorable.

"So what are you doing here so early?" I ask.

"Oh I just came to stop by. I was the first one up and I needed our of the hotel room." He says.

I laugh. "When are you guys going back home?" I ask.

"I actually don't know. Its summer break now back home, I think we are gonna go back before school starts back up." He says.

I nod.

"Liv what are you going to do about school?" He asks.

"Well, I don't know actually. I mean, I've had all of the credits I need to graduate since sophomore year. I can do some summer classes online to get the remaining classes I need and then maybe go to college here." I say.

"What are you going to study?" he asks sitting Nikolai's bottle down and burpping him.

I finish giving Luna her bottle and started burping her. "I don't know. There's a nice arts college close to here. Maybe I can study photography there. Just to do something with my life so far." I say.

He nods. "I understand." he says, "But what I don't understand is that you are a brilliant girl. You have a brilliant mind and you can do whatever you want, why not do something that can benefit you?" He asks.

"Connor, I'm going to be 17 for the rest of my life. I can change whatever I want to be over and over again. I kinda just want to take a year off and worry about my kids." I say.

He nods and his phone rings. I lay Luna down on the couch cusion next to me and I took Nikolai from him while he answered his phone.

"I'll be right back." He says.

I nod and he walks outside. I rock Nikolai in my arms until he fell asleep. I put him in his play pen on his stomach and covered him with his blue blanket. I grabbed Luna and burped her as well, and rocked her until she fell asleep and placed her next to Nikolai with her pink blanket covering her up.

I looked outside and saw that the clouds are getting darker. Rain's coming. I stood up and went upstairs and Dallas is still asleep. Lazy bum. Amira and Beau are still asleep too. I went back downstairs and saw Connor walking in.

"Hey, its about to storm so I'm gonna go back to the hotel. I'll call you later." He says.

I nod and wave goodbye. He smiles and walks out. I hear him get into his car and drive off. I have no idea what to do, my kids are asleep, and everyone in the house is asleep. I hear thunder struck and I hear the rain start to fall. I walk upstairs and change into something comfortable.

My shirts and pants are fitting tighter because I've finally filled out. But hey, who am I to complain about big boobs and a big butt. I changed into some pajama shorts and a sports bra, as I was walking out of the room I saw Dallas's jacket had a piece of paper hanging from it. I wasn't going to read it, but I saw my name was on it. Why would he have something that's for me?

I took the folded paper and walked out of the room and downstairs. I walked out to the deck and sat in a chair and listened to the rain hit the ground and the roof above me. I folded my legs and opened the letter.

    Before I say this please just know that I love you. I really mean it, I have loved you and I always will. You've meant a lot to me and it has been a pleasure being with you. You are an amazing girl and Dallas is a lucky man. You have had amazing potential since the day you were born and you will progress over your time, but you're going to have to do that alone.
   I'm so sorry Olivia but I'm leaving. I can't be with someone who doesn't love me like I love them and I can't sit back and watch you live your life without me. I'm so sorry for this but, I have a wife. I've been married for the past 25 years but it is an on and off relationship and I thought we were finally done and could get a divorce but we aren't and I'm leaving with her. Olivia I would have left her for you and I would have started my life over with you but I can't, you've made your choice in what you want, and I've made mine.
      I hope you will be okay and I hope the best for you and Dallas. Please take care of the twins and be safe, I'll leave them making sure they don't know who I am. I don't want them to know who I am because who knows when I'll be back, who knows what will happen to me. Just take care..
