Hey guys hope you all are doing well. Time for another chapter.
I woke up some time later. Still in a lot of pain but it was bearable. Then I felt something nudging at my side.
Looking down I saw the girl I rescued. 'What was her name again? Oh right she called herself Auri... wait but didn't her scan say her name was Elise... hmmmm.'
Well I'm not sure but I should check.
"Analyze"
[PERFORMING DETAILED ANALYSIS. ESTIMATED TIME: 5 minutes]
5 minutes huh. Well alright I suppose I can just lay down for a bit.

"Ah who am I kidding I can't rest like this." I said out loud without realizing.
During my 5 minute wait I decided to look around. Not move mind you I was still badly injured and had a child curled up against me but tried to make out what I could of our surroundings.
I don't remember much of last night after escaping it seems we found a little alcove to take shelter in and there's some tree cover from anything overhead but the trees are spaced far enough apart we wouldn't be too hard to spot if someone was actively looking for us.
I decided to listen out for a moment to figure out my surroundings.

A few animals making their regular noises, branches swaying in the wind, water? Huh I guess there's a river nearby... useful.
*Thud*
My heart immediately sunk upon hearing that sound. Something was close. It didn't sound friendly but it sure as hell sounded big.
"Pssst. Auri... hey Auri wake up." I said in a hushed tone.
"Mmmmmmmhhh. Where am I?" She asked drowsily
"We need to get going. Can you walk?" I asked hoping I wouldn't need to tote her again. Much to my luck she said yes.
"We got out of the bad place last night. But there's something dangerous nearby so we need to be quiet. Can you be a big girl for me and do that?" Huh listen to me sounding all like a mature adult. You'd almost think I wasn't some Amnesiac with a beat to hell body wearing barely any clothes when it's snowing outside.
"Mm-hm" she nodded with a determined look.

After making sure Auri had her clothes on somewhat properly I Grabbed the shield in my right hand and had Auri grab my left hand and we made our way quietly through the snowy forest in order to not alert anything.
