Somewhere Along the Way... (Loki x Reader)

First Impressions...

"Alright Tony! That's the last of it," I sighed as I shimmied into his office, dropping the rather large, not to mention heavy stack of files and papers on his desk with a merciful thud. "As of..." I checked my watch quickly calculating the minutes left..."8 minutes time I am on a WELL needed vacation for two weeks, a girls night tonight and hopefully a splitting sore head in the morning from too much tequila or being beaten off my headboard!" I laughed at my own remark, Tony was well used with my humour, but having averted my gaze back to the stack of papers on his desk I hadn't realised it wasn't just Tony in the office.

"So is there anything else left for me to do?" With that my gaze wandered up to where Tony was stood.

Instead of being met with one pair of eyes, there were two.

Or so I thought.

Tony rolled his eyes and sighed, his palm met his face and then I looked over his shoulder. Worry shoot across my mind at Tony's reaction.

Oh god. I thought to myself. No, I did not just refer to getting my head bashed off my headboard in front of HIM of all people!

"LADY Y/N!" Thor boomed at me, taking a few large strides across the room to engulf me in a bear hug.

"Hey big guy..." I managed to squeak out before Thor almost squeezed the air completely from my lungs. I slapped his forearm in an attempt to remind him he was squishing me.

"Oh! Sorry, I...I forget how fragile you midgardians are!" Thor chuckled as he let me go setting me back on my feet gently. I grabbed his arm trying to steady myself for a second.

"Are you ok Lady Y/N?" Thor looked at me concern washing over his face.

I raised my hand up to him to signal to give me a moment while I was bent over trying to regain my ability to breathe. A minute later I straightened myself back up and fixed myself brushing my hand over my shirt and skirt.

"Ok. I'm good. I'm good. What are you doing back here so soon?" I quizzed him looking at him with an eyebrow raised, "You told us you were going to be a few weeks...it's only been a few days. Is everything alright?"

"Ah" he sighed, running his hand along the back of his neck and glancing at me nervously, "Well, Lady Y/N, I um, ran into a little bump in the road..." as he finished his sentence his eyes had flickered across the room and I followed his gaze. Only to be met by a set of piercing green emerald eyes watching me intently.

"Loki..." my voice was almost a whisper.
