Somewhere Along the Way... (Loki x Reader)

My First Mission, Bit of Kissin...

"Miss Y/N. Tony requires you in a meeting with the rest of the avengers this morning for 11am please." Jarvis filled me in as I was hopping out of bed to go check Loki's room. I had slept peacefully last night. No dreams, no forest. Thankfully.

"Ok Jarvis. Tell him I will be there." I called back.

Wandering into his room, I looked around but still nothing. I made my way over to the window and looked out over the city, it was waking up and people where starting to go about their day to day life.

I sighed and sat down in the chair he read in, on the table beside it was the last book he had been reading. I skimmed through the pages of it, it was a book on astrology. It looked like he had read it many times before with a few pages being marked. I wondered where these his favourite constellations?

"Little One?" Thor's voice was soft, as he spoke.

"Hey Thor, just. Thought I'd check. You know...in case...." I trailed off, closing the book and setting it back on the table.

"We will find him." He had got back the night before to check in on me.

"Thor?" I had a question I felt I needed to know the answer to. "If something really bad happened him, do you? Well. Do you think I would feel it?"

"Little One don't think like that, I know Loki, he won't be out there looking for danger."

"He's the God of Mischief Thor. It's in his nature to cause some kind of trouble," I grumbled.

"He will be back soon. I promise."

I wondered if I should ask him, about the dreams. About the tree. He was bound to know what it was, right? I went to open my mouth and ask him, but decided against it. Changing the subject instead.

"Ok well I better get a shower, I am apart of my first meeting this morning it seems!" I beamed up at him, he pulled me into a bear hug lifting me off the ground.

"About time they brought you out with us!"

I was in the meeting room at 10.50am as everyone began filing in looking surprised to see me. Bucky came in and sat beside me pulling my chair closer to his.

"Morning Doll! What brings you here this fine day?"

"Tony asked me!" I said before sticking my tongue out at him.

Tony cleared his throat behind us. Everyone fell silent and we listened intently.

Seemed there had been a group of individuals who had stolen Stark equipment along with some SHIELD weapons. They were trying to develop it into high tech weapons that could be a danger not only to the public, but be a big problem for the Avengers themselves if they were attacked.

Tony explained he needed two people on the ground and some in the sky for this mission. The two on the ground would have to dress like guards where they had located the equipment, get in unnoticed and get data from the computers. The ones in the sky would then help get the equipment back and out of the hands of the wrong people.

"Steve and Nat, you guys are a must on this one." Tony pointed his pen at them. "Nat your in charge of the quinjet, Steve your back up incase something goes wrong for the two on the ground. Sam and I will be in the sky keeping an eye out too. If everything goes to plan, then Thor, we will need your strength to help get the equipment out of there with the rest."

"Bucky you've done stuff like this before I want you and Y/N on the ground. The two of you work well together and it's time Princess here showed us what she's made of."

"You think I'm ready?"

"Dr Strange has ensured me your very capable. He's pretty much done training you all that he can. So I think something like this will ease you into becoming one of us. If you feel you are up for it?"
