A/N; I do not own the song used in this chapter! Calum Scott - You Are The Reason.

Loki had been back for a full month now and we had been spending pretty much all our time together. I trained with either Bucky, Steve or Nat now for my combat a few times a week to keep fit, Tony had me out on a few more smaller missions with the group too, reassuring me that I was improving every time.

Loki and I went back to training my powers as well. Showing me different ways I could adapt and summon the elements to my advantage expanding on what Dr Strange had showed me.

He had set me up with the basic building blocks of each element and how to control it before he ended our training. Personally I was sad to see him go. Over the short while we had been training I had warmed up to him a little.

Loki wanted me to push that training further now, and try and release the further potential I had hidden somewhere. It was tiring but I loved every second of it, he was impressed with how much I had learned from Dr Strange, and I was thankful for that. Although I could tell part of Loki was disappointed he wasn't the one who had helped me this far.

"Hey that will have to do us today Lokes, I have to go and put the finishing touches to this gala. I said I'd meet Nat upstairs at 12," I looked at my watch, "Which gives me, 15 minutes to get ready...Ok I gotta move." I turned on my heels to make my way to the elevator.

Loki grabbed a hold of my body, pulling me into him, "Not even a goodbye kiss My Love? How you wound me." He held his hand to his heart, giving me Loki's idea of puppy dog eyes.

I rolled my eyes and laughed, "Make it quick Reindeer Games." With that I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave into him.

I ended up meeting Nat upstairs, training gear still on, as I stumbled out of the elevator she raised her eyebrows at me.

"Don't ask!" I panted.

"I don't need to, that mark on your collar bone tells me all I need to know," she giggled. "Good training session then? Or should I say make out session?"

"Bastard." I smiled at her as a flashback crossed my mind.

Finally the day of the Gala had arrived.
We had done our final checks four times now. I was panicking as it was the first year Tony had left the party planning to me. Even though I insisted he recruited Nat in to help too. All the top investors had been invited so everything had to be perfect. I wanted to make a good first impression!

I decided to go with a masquerade theme this year so I needed to get something to wear. Of course me being me, with all the drama had forgot until I got back from Texas about the Gala, so between final planning and training I had no time to get a dress.

Nat, Wanda and myself headed to the mall to pick out a dress for me and a mask for the night. Luckily I managed to pick a green ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice of the dress had a layer of forest green lace with little crystals scattered over it. The skirt had a few petticoats below, giving it a little body, but nothing too much. With that I picked a dainty lace mask to cover my eyes, matching the lace of the dress. I spotted a tie the same colour as my dress and lifted it for Loki, pondering whether to get it or not.

"Is it too much?" I asked Wanda.

She smirked at me, "It's a tie, your not proposing to him Y/N!"

Nat burst out laughing and I threw it on the desk to pay for it, mumbling below my breath and hiding the smile. It was a stupid question. I could have kicked myself for even opening my mouth.
