I gave up on sleep, I had been drifting in and out of it for the past hour now. I looked my clock, 6.30 am.

I sighed rolling out of bed and heading to the shower. Once out I pulled on a pair of blue ripped skinny jeans, a navy blue T-shirt, tucking it into my jeans slightly at the front, adding a belt and a pair of white converse. I dried my hair, straightening it and pulling it into a low ponytail.

I decided I wanted to wear a little make up, I wouldn't be crying over him.

Not today.

I added a light coverage foundation, a light dusting of bronzer, blusher, some mascara to my already long lashes, fixed my eyebrows and applied a little nude gloss. Nothing fancy, just a little more polished looking than I had been recently.

As I opened my door, about to walk out to go get breakfast I walked clean into his chest. He had been in the middle of lifting his hand to knock on my door.

"Jesus Christ!" I yelped.

I felt his arm wrap around my waist to stop me from staggering back from the shock of bouncing off his chest.

I steadied myself and looked up, his emerald green eyes had a sadness in them as they searched my face.

"Loki, God of Mischief actually Darling." He replied, flashing a quick smirk at me, I almost laughed at that one. His face dropped again "Darling..." he whispered, "Please. Let me explain. I wasn't rejecting you I promise."

I stood a moment longer looking at him, not speaking. His arm was still wrapped around me holding me close to his body even though there was no where else I'd rather be.

I could feel the electricity building between us, so I pulled back from him abruptly, I couldn't give in that easily.

"I need breakfast."

Seriously? That's what you say to a God begging you to listen to him? Well done Y/N.

A light chuckle escaped his lips as he flashed a smile at me, "Alright then, let's go get you something to eat Pet then we will talk."

He took my hand in his and led me to the elevator, he continued to hold it the whole way down to the kitchen rubbing his thumb over my knuckles, only letting go when we reached the island in middle of the kitchen.

No one else was here, I looked at the clock it was 7.55am, they should be up by now. That's when I realised they probably planned on waiting to hear if there was a screaming match going down or not before they made their way to the kitchen.

I smirked. Grabbing the coffee pot, getting it ready and flicked it on. If the smell of that didn't start to entice them, the smell of cooking would.

I clicked the kettle on as I walked past it, Loki grabbed two mugs, watching me intently.

"You want to make the tea while I make us something to eat?" I questioned him.

He nodded and made his way over to the kettle waiting on it to boil, I went into the fridge pulling out the ingredients I needed to make breakfast with.

As I cooked we stood in silence, both of us not quite sure of what to say. The air was laced with tension, I chewed on my lip, as I stole glances at him. Every time I did I found he was watching me, smiling when he caught me looking. The butterflies in my stomach were driving me crazy.

Say something Y/N for fuck sake.

Finally I had the food ready, I opened my mouth to say something and with that I heard the elevator doors open. I closed my mouth again, turning my attention back to the food.
