Somewhere Along the Way... (Loki x Reader)

Thunder, the equine kind...

I woke early the next morning, drunken me had decided closing the curtains was too much of a task the night before. I stretched out in bed, my head was pounding and my muscles hurt.

I groaned and pulled myself out of bed  into the shower, once I felt like I had washed some of my sins away I pulled on some leggings and a tank top, slipping on my trainers before quietly heading downstairs.

No one had stirred yet. I grabbed a couple of apples. One for me, the rest for the horses. I grabbed some aspirin with a large glass of water and out I went to face the day.

I said good morning to a couple of the horses in the front stables and then set off on my run. I needed to sweat this alcohol out of me or I wouldn't be fit for anything today little own dealing with what awaited me back at the house.

I arrived back about an hour later to find Jade my groom was here but no Gods up yet. I sighed. I knew I was sweaty but I put the coffee pot on and got to making pancakes for breakfast. I was slicing up some fruit when I heard movement upstairs.

"Alexa, play my morning playlist," I said over my shoulder to the echo dot on the counter. 'Playing Morning Playlist on Spotify' it chirped back to me, I hummed along for a little bit as Despacito played around the kitchen. Eventually I forgot myself and swayed my hips in time to the music, singing while I placed the food out onto the table.

"Despacito
Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito
Deja que te diga cosas al oído
Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo
Despacito!"

I stopped singing and turned back around to the counter when I heard Thor chuckling, "Good morning Y/N! Glad to see you are in better shape than you were last night!"

I froze. A flashback of what happened last night filled my head.

I laughed nervously as I turned back grabbing the plate of pop tarts then shoving them towards him. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a navy blue top, that was straining over his muscles.

Then Loki appeared dressed in one of the white button up shirts I had bought tucked into a pair of fitted charcoal grey trousers. He smoothed his hand over the shirt looking rather pleased with himself it seemed.

Seems I need a cold shower now. How's anyone meant to get anything done with these two around.

I shook my head to bring myself back to earth.

"Alright you two there's pancakes, cereal, fruit, coffees in the pot. Loki I'm not sure if your a tea or coffee guy. I guessed tea, so there's a selection there. It's not much but I can get more if you want anything in particular. Hot waters in the kettle. Milk is in the fridge. I'm off to get a shower."

Loki nodded at me making his way over to the table.

Thor on the other hand winked at me, "Need any help in the shower Y/N?"

I laughed at him and punched his arm on the way past, quickly making my way up the stairs.

After the shower I pulled on my riding jodhpurs and a polo shirt tucking it in neatly and adding a belt to complete my outfit. I pulled my hair into a low ponytail and headed back downstairs.

Thor looked at me for a moment while rubbing his belly after demolishing the plate of pop tarts I had handed him along with half the table it seemed.

"I like this look on you." He gestured to my riding clothes. I raised an eyebrow at him as I walked past lifting a pancake off the table as I went and grabbing a cup and making myself some tea.

"So," I sighed after taking a long drink of tea, "How does this whole thing work then?" I pointed towards Loki and the cuff on his arm.

"Tony has this on his arm for now, he's to call over later to register your finger print to it, incase of an emergency or if Mr Mischief here somehow manages to get it off." Thor explained to me.
