"I thought you said we were going to have lunch!" I protest as Christina's dragging me towards some empty seats."We are... We totally are. We're just grabbing some fries and eating them in the tribunes... That's why I told you to take your jumper!" she tries to reason with me.
"No! You're tricking me into going to watch the men's event!"
"I wouldn't put it like that... I'm just giving you a nudge in the right direction!"
I roll my eyes, huffing as I plop down in the seat next to her, determined to bury my head in my portions of fries instead of watching the competition. But Christina obviously had different plans in store for me, which is why she continued to poke me with her elbow until I pay attention to her. Or in this case until I shove her away from me, making her roar in laughter.
"Look, I told you that I didn't want to go! I need to focus on myself. And for fucks sake why are you so damn interested in my love life?!"
"Because, you're too tense and you need to relax... So I think that what you need it to-"
"Do not finish that sentence Christina!" I interrupt her in a warning tone.
"Ah! I've struck a nerve!" she muses, nudging me with her elbow again.
"What makes you say that?!" I ask through gritted teeth.
"Well you never call me by my bloody full name unless I've really pissed you off... Oh would you look at that?! A certain Japanese male is skating next!" she says in a singsongy voice.
"Looks like you timed this perfectly then" I chuckle, rolling my eyes at her.
Apparently Christina decided to change careers for the day since she thought it would be hilarious to provide commentary to every single little thing Yuzuru did during his program. Honestly she could seriously consider a change of careers, her comments would be very entertaining if she wasn't mocking me, saying 'There he goes! Wonder if he'll finally land that quad loop or not!' or 'Oh he did! That's very impressive, don't you think?!' and then 'Damn, he almost fell on that quad sal! Maybe he was thinking about you and got distracted!'.
"You know, I could do without the colored commentary Chris!" I growl, stealing a few fries from her, even though I have my own.
"Wow doesn't he look hot in those little purple pants of sin..."
"Oh just shut it! Purple pants of sin...? Really Chris?!" I start giggling uncontrollably despite the fact that I don't find it funny. Okay maybe a bit... And he did look good in those pants, although I would never admit it out loud.
"Hey I'm just teasing!" she laughs, raising her hands in mock surrender.
"Remind me why I'm friends with you?!"
"That's easy! It's because of my charming personality, impeccable sense of humor and of course you can't forget about my legendary sass! Should I go on?" she explains with flair and passion.
"Nope. I think I've heard enough!"

I was trying to tune out Christina's incessant yapping as we were walking towards the exit of the rink after the men's short program. Yuzuru this and Yuzuru that! I really couldn't take it anymore, it was like she was pushing me to think about it when all I wanted to do was shove any feelings and thoughts I had about this into a box, lock it and throw away the key. My dearest best friend wasn't having any of that and seemed determined to keep pushing me but if she kept this up I would probably have a mental break down.
