I make my way out of the restaurant with tears blurring my eyesight and before I know how I got there I find myself sitting on the steps of some townhouse, holding back sobs because there's no way I'm gonna give anyone the satisfaction of crying over them. Especially not my mother.

I exhale deeply in an effort to calm down, running my hands through my hair and angrily wiping my tears away. Holding back yet another sob, I furiously rummage through my bag before letting out a frustrated groan when I realise that I forgot my phone at the table.

"Great. There goes getting an über" I mumble under my breath, tossing the bag back on the concrete stairs.

"Looking for this?" Chris asks, shoving the phone under my nose. Of course she'd find me on the steps of a random town house in a random street when I specifically did not want to talk to anyone.

"Thanks..." I whisper, putting the phone into my bag without looking up "How did you find me?"

"We've been following you since you stormed out!" I hear Roman's voice as both he and Christina plopped down next to me.

"As much as I appreciate that, I'd really like to be left alone right now guys..."

"Yeah not gonna happen."

"There's no way in hell we're gonna leave you alone when you're upset like this!"

"I made quite a scene didn't I?" I snort, making Roman chuckle sadly while Chris just outright laughed at my face, as if I just told the funniest joke she ever heard.

"Look just don't even think about your family! Your birthday's tomorrow and we're gonna have a blast all together in-"

"Yeah, yeah we're gonna have fun and all that!" Chris loudly interrupted Roman, shooting a warning glare in his direction. I frown in confusion, having the feeling that the two of them are keeping something from me. Actually, now that I think about it, it felt like everyone has been keeping something from me for the past few weeks and I probably didn't even notice it because I've been so absorbed by trying to land my triple axel.

"What the three of us? On my couch? It's not like I planned anything and I don't have a ton of friends here, if you hadn't noticed..."

"We can have fun just the three of us! We're the golden trio right? Or whatever you call us..."

"Oh shut it Roman! We both know that you love Harry Potter and know very well that it's the golden bloody trio..."

"Guys I don't think we're the golden trio... None of us are gryffindors" I chime in thoughtfully "Chris is definitely a Slytherin and Rom is a Puff for sure..."

"What about you?" Roman asks, seemingly reflecting on the matter too.

"I bet she's a Ravenclaw! She's smarter than the both of us put together."

"Hey! We're not idiots either!"

"I'm not saying we are but this wench manages to get perfect grades while juggling school with 25 hours of skating in the middle!" Chris argues, reaching across me to smack Roman's shoulder.

"I'm actually a Slytherin too..." I mumble shyly, fidgeting with my fingers.

"What!? There's no way!"

"Actually it makes sense... She was a crazy bitch when we first met her!"

"Well I'm almost a Ravenclaw... I guess I'm a slyhterclaw..."

"Yeah that makes sense..." Roman agrees thoughtfully, as if this was the most important and meaningful conversation he ever had. It's amazing how friends can distract you from anything and everything, or cheer you up when you're down.
