Chapter 7

Chien Bennete's POV

It's been a week when I went back to school and everything became normal that made me glad. Kahit na magkasama ang grupo namin at ang grupo nila Jovan ay walang gulo ang nangyayari.

Actually, parang kami lang ang magkasama ni Chester dahil palaging nasa date si Jovan at Yla which is not questionable anymore. While Cole and Jave were busy womanizing.

Kahit na magkakasama ay may kaniya-kaniyang buhay kami.

And this week is an exam week kaya hindi na muna ako sumasama sa grupo. Yla and Chester knows how I study and they respect that.

Ayaw na ayaw ko talaga ang may kasama habang nagsta-study dahil mawawala ako sa concentration.

That's why they often called me self study freak and I am proudly say I am.

My family can afford the tuition in this school but I already got the scholarship from this school so why not used and treasure it, right?

Hangga't kaya kong isalba ang scholarship ko ay isasalba ko para ang gastos nalang nila daddy ay ang ibang bagay like projects, field trips, at iba pa.

Natigil ako sa pagbabasa ng libro ko sa General mathematics nang maramdaman ko ang pag-vibrate ng cellphone ko na nasa bulsa lang ng lower uniform ko.

I check my phone and I saw a text message from Chester.

From: Chester

Are you done? I am on my way to library. See you in a bit.

Napakagat-labi ako ng wala sa oras. Chester is very serious when he said he will court me.

Kahit ako ay hindi pa rin makapaniwala na may gusto siya sa akin. He even tell this to my parents and the latter were even excited. Akala kasi nila tatanda akong dalaga dahil wala akong dini-date.

But even if Chester exert more effort, it has not effect on me. I treat him as my brother that is why I cannot believe or accept the fact that he will gonna court me.

I already said this to him but he said he will not give up. He will not give up without taking a fight. Wala naman daw masama kung subukan niya at baka raw magkagusto rin ako sa kaniya kalaunan.

He's that determined and I don't know how to stop him anymore.

Napabuntong-hininga ako saka nagreply.

To: Chester

I am done. Wait me outside the lib.

I hit the send button before arranging my things.

After a minute ay nasa labas na ako ng library. Sakto naman ang pagdating ni Chester na agad ngumiti nang makita ako.

I smiled back. Naiilang ako nong una dahil nga sa ginawa kong paghalik sa kaniya pero eventually ay naging comfortable ulit ako sa kaniya.

"Hey." He greeted as he get the books on my arms. Kahit na medyo nahihiya ay ibinigay ko nalang

"Hai." I greeted back as I smiled.

"They're on the cafeteria now, let's go?"

Tumango ako at sabay kaming naglakad papunta sa cafeteria.

"How's your first exam today?" Tanong ko sa kaniya para patayin ang katahimikang namumuo sa amin.

He's silent because he keeps on glancing at me before smiling widely!

Goodness! Ako na ang nahihiya sa inaasta niya dahil para siyang babae na kinikilig dahil pinansin ng crush.

"Ah, that." He started before smiling again. "I got 49 over 50."
