Everything is perfect until the end sequal to Nothing stays perfect for long

20~Long time no see

I woke up in a cold sweat. I jolted upwards and started to pant.

"Jess?" Dan asked, rubbing my back. I looked at his scared face and sighed. He was fine, it wasn't real. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. It was just a bad dream." I answered. His face relaxed and he hugged me tight. I buried my face into his shoulder. "I wish we could be normal Dan. Why couldn't we have a normal life?"

"Because we aren't normal people."

"True."

Dan sighed "Elsie will be up soon."

"What time is it?"

"Half 8"

I groaned and got up. Dan got up after me and we went to Elsie's room. I heard her singing to herself and we opened the door. She looked at us and stood up straight away, she opened her armsand I picked her up.

"Morning." I said as she snuggled her head into my neck.

Dan smiled and stroked her head. We waked into the living room and Dan put morning cartoons on for her. We sat there watching them until 9:30 when I got up to make breakfast. I made toast with a poached egg for Elsie and poured myself some cereal. I put Esie in her high chair and gave her her food. Then I grabbed mine and sat next to Dan.

"Are they my lucky charms?" Dan asked

"No, of course not." I stated

"I think they are."

"No."

Then he grabbed mey spoon and ate some "Definatly lucky charms."

I sighed "Fine, they are your lucky charms."

I quickly finished and got Elsie out of her highchair when she was finished. I went with her into her room and grabbed some legings and a blue denim blouse. I brushed her hair out and savoured every moment of it. All those simple things I had missed. I put some odd socks on her and she grabbed a toy from her bed. When I looked at it it was Dan's male technician 1 toy that he gave her. I smiled and took her back to the living room.

"We are going out." Dan stated when I put Elsie on the floor to play.

"When?" I asked

"About half an hour. Family trip."

"I'd better get dressed then." I kissed Dan and got a very quick shower. I went into our room and put on a black and white long sleeved top, navy blue jeans and black ankle boots. By the time I got out so was Phil and Cat and everyone was dressed.

"Literally a family outing then?" I asked

"Yep, but some of them are meeting us there." Dan told me. I looked at him quizically and Phil picked Elsie up. Then we left.

I sat in the passenger seat, Phil and Cat were in the back with Elsie and Dan was driving. We had hired a car so that we could get around. We really need to buy a car. It was quite warm for summer and so we had the windows down. We had the radio playing and when we hit the moterway fast car came on the radio.

"You got a fast car

I want a ticket to anywhere" I sang, I loved this song.

"Maybe we can make a deal

Maybe together we can get somewhere

Any place is better

Starting from zero got nothing to lose

I got a plan to get us out of here

I been working at the convinience store

I smiled at Dan and he held my hand.

We got to a small brick house and I looked at Dan with exited eyes. He smiled back at me and turned on to the side road. I looked back at Phil and he looked very excited, his eyes were wide and he was looking out his window. Cat and Elsie were asleep. I hadn't been to Woburn Safari park in years. I loved this place.
