The tagline says it all - 'She does not cry, she makes others cry! : (Woh roti nahi, rulati hain!), to her enemies of course.

This book is inspired from the immense need I felt to bring out a strong Khushi as opposed to the weak, crybaby person she's shown many times. I realized there were few turning points in the show where she could have been shown as a fiercely self respecting girl rather than one who kept taking abuse. I absolutely detest when a heroine is portrayed as a doormat, one who lets a man walk all over her in the name of love and I felt NSIV Khushi was an answer to let my own emotions of my annoyance over weak heroines, run freely.

This book, in all 3 seasons will show my strong leading lady, Khushi! She is brave, she is shady, she has ulterior motives, and she fights back! She will make wrong choices too but will own them with swag! **There's a note about inspiration behind this at the end of this preface.

All 3 seasons are separate stories but show-based and start from different events from the show. The 3 seasons are not connected to each other so should be read separately. Only common thing between them is a 'not so innocent' Khushi!

Season 1 (chapter 1-21, complete) – starts from the very first episode of IPKKND and takes a different route. Khushi is all that Arnav had accused her when she fell in his arms and was there with a motive! She eventually manages to marry Arnav but is not in love with him! He is still the arrogant, haughty man who has no filter mouth, but he also has accepted his love for her! However, the wife he is crazily in love with is only putting up a façade. Right from the moment she fell in his arms in Lucknow fashion event, everything happened as per her plan. What is her motive? And what will happen when he comes across this truth? Khushi set against Arnav, because of some misunderstandings and his own behavior fuels her revenge more!! (Originally posted, 28 June 2021)

Season 2 (chapter 22-31, complete) – NOT connected with season 1, but starts from the IPKKND episode, when arshi returned home after Arnav's kidnap. Here, when Khushi asks Arnav if he wants to know who kidnapped him, after his answer, story takes a different route! Khushi takes the charge of her own battle and teaches the leech Shyam (and Dadi too) a lesson for lifetime!

Season 3 (chapter 32-49, complete) – Again, NOT connected to previous 2 seasons but starts from the show when shital appeared in their lives! However, Khushi isn't a naïve wifey to take nonsense from Arnav's bimbo-ex and her bratty (adopted) child anymore! She will make life hell for the unwanted guests, in style!

**last but not least: I had planned to add 'inspiration' at the end of this book, but this needs to be on the very first page! The key inspiration behind this book (all 3 seasons) is a lady I know personally who fought back, who never allowed any man or any person to rule her life, and she brought her family up towards right path single handedly. She was working as a maid in our house when we lived in a small town in India, but to this date me and my mom keep reciting her story. The fact that I met her some 15-20 years ago when I was a child but still remember her courage, says something. Unfortunately I don't remember her name (we used to call her 'Madhuri ki amma' as her daughter's name was Madhuri who was my age then). I hope wherever she is, she and her kids are doing well. After that, over the years, I met many more women like her and then they all somewhere added to this inspiration to show a bold woman, who takes matters in her hands, who doesn't sit around waiting for someone to help her and doesn't forgive anyone messing with her! Kudos to Stree shakti (women power) 🙏
