S2 - chapter 2

Once Arnav and Khushi made their way inside Shantivan, everyone rushed to their side. A few minutes of 'chote are you ok?' and 'khushi bitiya what is all this?' reactions, Khushi exchanged a quick glance at Arnav indicating she was going for the big reveal now! After his small hesitant nod, Khushi started with revealing one after other incidents of how Shyam had cheated her , her family, and Raizadas. She didn't hide anything, right from how he was about to get engaged to her pretending to be a bachelor to the night on terrace when he almost molested her, she told everything. And finally, amidst a pin drop silence in Raizada mansion's living room, she exposed his role behind arnav's kidnap and their close escape from death.

After she was done, Arnav was barely able to hold his temper. Hearing it once had been bad enough, but twice the same day made his blood boil. Just one reaction from his Di that she trusted Khushi, and he would ensure that shyam never be able to walk again or see again as Arnav would surely break his limbs and pierce his eyes!!

However, he was left disappointed when as khushi had predicted, Shyam cleverly denied every blame khushi had put om him. He had even ensured to wipe the USB drive off all proofs against him. Arnav who had been hoping against hope that his di would herself confront shyam after hearing Khushi, proved him wrong too. She turned out to be his sister after all, who believed Shyam over khushi, like he had done all those months ago!

He looked at khushi, with a lot of pain and frustration but found her eyes telling him to take the next step. Swallowing a big chunk of saliva in his suddenly dry throat and using his supreme patience to say what she had asked him to, he did what was planned,

"Apologize to everyone, khushi. I don't know what made you say all that for Jijaji. He is not a criminal. I will find out who kidnapped me but that's not jijaji and you shouldn't have made a fake story of him being your ex-fiancé. So apologize, right now!" ASR roared. A silence fell over the hall. Everyone almost expected khushi to walk away after this. Shyam too looked shocked.

 But, they were oblivious to this Khushi, who wouldn't accept defeat this time. She would face the beast head on! And then slay him!! She was no longer the puppet but the master of this game henceforth!

And as Khushi was preparing to say sorry, arnav's heart shouted 'NO!' This didn't make sense. He couldn't stand here and watch her get insulted. Not anymore. Least by Shyam!!

So before she could say anything, he did, "Its futile to expect anything from this girl! I know you won't be able to do it Khushi. So I will." Khushi looked at him utterly shocked, why was he changing the script? But he didn't let her speak again, "I won't stand here and see my family get insulted." he said looking at Khushi with a meaning only she could decipher, that he meant her insult not others', and then he addressed anjali and shyam "let me apologize on her behalf. Di, I am so sorry (but his thoughts were, 'for letting this creep still be in your life'), jijaji I am sorry ('because your life's last few days of peace have begun now')." and before anyone had a chance to drag the matter ffurther, he walked towards khushi, held her hand and proceeded to go upstairs to their bedroom. 

And then he momentarily stopped to address Hari Prakash, "HP, I have called the Dr. Mehra for our check-up, once he is here, send him to my room directly."

It was an hour later, when Dr. Mehra had visited and did dressing of Arnav's and khushi's injuries. Both of them were also given injections to ensure there were no risks of any infections from their wounds. Giving some pain relief tablets and some other medicines, Dr. Mehra finally left with HP escorting him to the door. HP had also gotten dinner to their bedroom while clearly no family member had come to check on them, maybe still in shock of what had happened a while ago!
