NSIV Pro - part 7

Shyam was extra happy today. His so-called estranged, dumb wife, Anjali had not only answered his call but also asked him to come and meet her. Apparently, she was having abdominal cramps and was in the hospital and thanks to that baby of his that she was carrying, shyam would be able to make his way back to shantivan.

Or at least that's what he thought.

Least did he know that this was a trap set for him, and his not-so-dumb wife Anjali was proving to be ASR's sister and was double crossing him as per Khushi's plan. Anjali's visit to hospital, the cramps and asking to meet her was all a trap set by her as decided with Khushi and Arnav!

But shyam was blissfully unaware of it and so were Dadi and Sheetal.

When he reached the hospital, entire raizada family was there. He was wary of arnav at first who glared at him as soon as he saw shyam. But his allies, dadi and shital were there too and his biggest strength, Anjali was asking for him. So, Shyam went inside the room with confidence and some fake tears!

"Rani saheba." He said, shading a few pretense tears, "How are you? And how is our baby?"

"Shyam ji! Ab aap gaye ho na, ab sab thik ho jayega (Now that you are here, everything will be ok). I won't leave you now." Anjali said, her words carrying a hidden meaning that was lost to Shyam.

Shyam smirked in victory, sparing a glance towards Khushi and then towards Dadi and shital, "Ji Rani saheba, I am back. Now everything will be good." He spoke.

Anjali then looked at arnav and said, "Chote, hum chahte hai ki shyam ji wapas ghar aa jaye (I want Shyam ji to be back)."

Dadi immediately echoed her words, "Anjali bitiya is right, Arnav. Enough of insulting daamad ji based on some outsider (Khushi and Payal)'s words."

Arnav and Aakash held back from reacting in anger hearing dadi refer to their wives as outsiders. But they kept calm.

As per their pre-decided plan, Arnav pretended to be upset at letting Shyam come back at first and then reluctantly agreed to his return.

Shyam happily walked out of Anjali's room and saw Khushi who was standing at a corner. He couldn't stop himself from going to her,

"Khushi ji! Kaisi hai aap(How are you)? It's so good to see you after so many days." He said in his sickly voice, taking advantage of the fact that most of the Raizadas, including Arnav, were still inside the room.

But as usual he underestimated Khushi.

"Shyam ji." She said with a small, pretense yet a complete 'Khushi' smile, "Zara hamare pairon ki taraf dekhiye (Look at my feet), what do you see?"

"Ye toh aap ke sandals hai khushiji, aur kitne pyare hai (These are your sandals, and they are so nice)!" shyam said.

"Haan, gaal pe padne pe aur bhi pyare lagte hai (Yes and it looks even better when they land on someone's face)!" she said and even without giving shyam a chance to understand what she said, left from there.

On one hand, Khushi was giving tough time to Sheetal, Dadi, and Shyam while on the other hand, she was also giving shock to her 'contract husband' Arnav!

That evening, when Arnav who was taking a work call from the study room, came out, he saw Khushi waiting for him there. He was happy that she was supposedly waiting for him while he himself sought her to talk to her.

"Khushi? Since when you have been waiting here?" he asked, upset at himself that he kept her waiting, albeit unknowingly.

She avoided answering that and said instead, "Aap ko hamare sath kahi pe chalna hai (You have to come with me somewhere)."
