My thoughts went directly to when I first met Anakin. He was just 8 years old when he joined the order. When I met him, he was awkward and shy, and he held so much grief. I never understood why he had so much grief, but he and I grew a little older. He told me about his past, and the grief he was radiating was beyond me. But he stayed so kind and caring. I focused more.

"Hello, my name is y/n ."I smiled I was a bright youngling who was eager to learn the arts of the Jedi. The boy looked at me and smiled, knowing he was accepted. "My name is Anakin Skywalker." He smiled a little, but felt a little awkward.

"Nice to meet you, Anakin." I gave him a reassuring smile and told him it was okay to feel awkward. From that day on, we became friends—sort of like buddies, you could say. Another memory came to mind. It was Anakin and I training together.

"Come on (y/n), is that all you got?" He laughs, "I am going easy on you though." You wanted me to actually try?" I teased "Oh, now it's going to be like this?" He grins and says, "I guess so, Skywalker." I gigged

I smiled. I keep those memories close. But then I started to focus more on the force and felt it through my body. My wrist computer started beeping. I opened my eyes and answered. It was Anakin.

"What do you want, Skywalker?" I rolled my eyes. "Oh nothing, I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave for my mission." He grins and says, "Oh, whatever. Wait, mission?" I raised my eyebrow. "I am going to protect the senator of Naboo," he said proudly. "Oh, I'm sure you are going to do great." I shook my head.

"Anakin, I told you to inform Y/N that she will be coming with us." Obi-Wan interrupted Anakin before he could say anything. "So, about your mission?" I tried to hold my laughter. "Hey, it is not funny." Anakin disconnected

I stood up and ran to the Jedi hanger to meet up with Anakin and Obi-Wan. Anakin had his arm crossed and gave me a smile. I smiled back. Obi-Wan asked me if I knew what the plan was going to be. I nodded back. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and I got onto our ships and flew to the apartment. As we got onto the elevator, Anakin and Obi-Wan were talking and laughing. I noticed that Anakin was a little tense and decided to call him out on it.

"Aww, look. The Chosen One is nervous." I teased. Obi-wan chuckled. "Yeah, I haven't seen her in years. "Of course I am," he whined. I shook my head and gave him a cheeky smile.

As we entered the apartment, we were greeted by a Gungan, Jar Jar Binks. I scanned him and smiled. "It is nice to meet you, (y/n)" He smiled brightly.

He called for the Senator of Naboo. She walked in to greet us, and Anakin's jaw dropped. I gave him a nudge to let him know that his mouth was open. Anakin was embarrassed and tried to laugh it off. The senator greeted Anakin and Obi-Wan, but then, of course, Anakin tried to flirt with the senator and ultimately failed, followed by the senator saying, "You'll always be the little boy I knew on Tatooine." I tried so hard to contain my laughter, but the look on Anakin's face had me about to explode.

She walked toward me. "I saw you at the meeting with the chancellor." I smiled. "Yes, I was at the meeting with Master Windu."

"I am so sorry; I didn't get the chance to formally introduce myself. I am Padme, Senator of Naboo." She said with a genuine tone, "There's no need for apologies, M'lady. I am (y/n) (y/l/n)." I replied. "I wish we met under better circumstances," she guided the three of us to the couch.

As I sat down, Obi-wan said that the situation was dangerous and we were here for protection, and Padme gave me a dour look. She said she wanted answers, not security. That is when Anakin interrupted Obi-Wan and made a promise to Padme that we would find whoever was trying to assassinate her. Then Obi-wan and Anakin started to argue. I shook my head out of two-handed embarrassment and nudged Anakin to settle down.

"Why did you do that?" He muttered. "Anakin, did you completely forget that we are having a conversation with a Senator, who is well known throughout the galaxy?" I questioned. He got more annoyed and said, "But (y/n), protection is a job for local security, not Jedi?!" I sighed. I feel like I am taking care of a five-year-old. "I understand, but arguing with Obi-Wan is not going to make a difference." I sighed

Padme was not pleased that we had no interest in opening an investigation. She hopes that the person who is threatening her life will be discovered in our presence. She got up and walked away.

I stood up and saw Anakin looking cheerless while he was talking to Jar-Jar and Obi-Wan. I walked over and gave him a look to see if he was willing to talk. The thing I loved about our friendship was that he was always so open to talking to me. He nodded, and I took him out to the balcony.

"She hardly noticed me," he mumbled, looking down. "She looked very pleased to see you, Anakin. But you need to understand that her life was threatened by a horrific explosion, which her decoy died from. So, I don't think she is implying that you feel unnoticed. She was just alerted. " I tried to cheer him up.
