Chapter 24: Meeting Them

Sky's POV

After we talked about it, we ate in silence and peace, but we are still worried for Sapphire, and you can see it from the long face we have.

We are about to leave our table when a familiar guy and girl go to our spot and silently stand while watching us with those dark, piercing eyes.

"What do you want?" tanong ko. Lahat kami ay nakatingin sa dalawang bagong dating, nagtataka kung bakit sila andito.

I remember we met at the store and spoke gibberish. We didn't understand. They just spoke then take-back what the girl said before leaving us dumbfounded. And I know the others remembered them.

"Oh, it's you again."

"Dito ba kayo nag-aaral?"

"Tss, let's go?"

"We have met at the convenience store, remember? Nice to meet you again!"

Samu't-saring daing at tanong ng mga kasama ko ngunit wala lang silang ginawa kundi ang humalukipkip at nakatingin lang sa amin na may pangaakusa at pagtataka.

"We're here to tell you about Sapp—" Naputol ang sasabihin ng lalaki nang may biglang sumigaw at lumapit sa likuran ng dalawa'ng nakatayo sa harapan namin

"Nixxon," sabay bati ng dalawa sa bagong dating na lalaki, naghahabol pa ng hininga bago tiningnan sila ng nanlalaki ang mata na para bang binalaan.

"The SSC President wants you two to proceed to his office now," saad ni Nix sa kalmado na boses. He chins up while looking at the two, who are suspiciously staring at Nix.

Kalaunan ay pumayag ang dalawa at walang ni ha o ho'ng umalis sa harapan namin. When the two were out of our sight, we attacked Nix with questions.

"H-How? Nix, explain."

"Magkakilala kayo? Kailan?"

"Alam ba nila kung nasaan si Sapphire ngayon? As what I analyze, 'that' girl asked if do we already found her? I know who is she referring to, Nix."

"Kilala ba din nila si Sapphire?"

We created a little commotion of what we did just now, but at one deadly glance by Nix to those who were around us, looking were walking away like they didn't know what they just did yet they're trembling.

"Now, now, will you calm guys, please? We're creating a scene here, and I'm avoiding that to happen for now," pakiusap ni Nix sa amin at sumiksik sa upuan na nasa harap namin ni LJ, Chester at Hunter.

Nagreklamo naman si Blash na nasa pinakadulo ng upuan dahil muntikan ng mahulog mabuti nalang nakahawak ito sa lamesa kaya hindi natuloy.

"For now, you shouldn't know about Sapphire's whereabouts bec—"

"What?! Why?" singhal agad ni Chester.

"If you let me finish, Chester Fleur," mahinahong sambit ni Nixxon dahilan para kumalma siya. Bumuntong hininga muna siya bago nagsalita ulit, "Aside from that's her order, she wants to be alone first and we'll just focus on the Rnovia's plan."

"The enemy's plan?" nagtatakang tanong ni Blash sa kanya at seryoso'ng nakatingin na kay Nix na komportableng nakasandal sa ino-upuan. Mukhang nakuha ni Nix ang atensyon ni Blash.

"Yeah, as much as I want to tell you. I can't because—" Tinaas ni Nix ang kaniyang kamay nang magrereklamo na naman ulit ang iba ngunit tumigil nang tumaas ang kamay ng huli.
