*~~ A few days later ~~*

Sal just walked inside of the house, locking the door behind him.

"How was work?", Todd said, sitting on the living room couch.

"It was alright. It sucks, but I'm making good money", Sal sighed.

"Larry would be proud", Todd smiled.

"Yeah... I know he would be."

Sal walked up the stairs and into his room, Where, surprisingly, Travis was not.

Sal ignored this. Taking his work clothes off and changing into something more comfortable.

Sal walked back downstairs to the living room once he was finished.

"Do you know where Travis is?", Sal leaning over the railing.

"Is he not up there?"

"Nope!"

"Weird. I've been down here for a while... I feel like I would have seen if he left. Unless I was asleep", Todd tilted his head.

"Ah, it's alright. I'll just text him", Sal nodded and walked back upstairs and into his room, pulling out his phone. Just texting Travis a simple 'hi'.

He sat his phone down on his desk and sat down at it, pulling out one of Larry's sketchbooks. Finishing another art piece Larry hadn't gotten to finish before he passed.

A half an hour pasted by, and still no reply from Travis. But Sal didn't think much of it, if he knew anything, he was out with Phillip, getting drunk mid-day.

As much as that usually would have stressed him out. He understood now and he trusted Travis to be responsible. It's hard to leave that kind of past behind, even if it wasn't a good one. It was a coping mechanism. And as long as he didn't abuse it like Larry did, he really didn't mind.

Another half hour pasted.

And another...

And another.

Two hours, still no reply.

Now Sal got a little jittery.

But it was fine, it was all going to be fine.... Right? It was all going to be alright.

Sal sighed and stood up from the desk and left his room, and went into the hallway. Slowly opening the bathroom door.

"TODD! GET THE FUCK UP HERE RIGHT FUCKING NOW!", Todd heard Sal shout from upstairs. He shut his book and started to make his way up th stairs.

"If it's another cockroach I'm going to be fucking pissed Sal!", Todd yelled back up at him. "What is it?", Todd stood infront of Sal. "Oh my god... Are you okay? You don't look so.... Good...", Todd looked into the bathroom.

.....

.....

Travis was laying on the bathroom floor. Writs slashed open, flood on his arms and the floor. Pills scattered around the floor except for the few that were still in the bottles. And empty cans of beer sat right next to him... His eyes wide open, staring into a deep vat of nothingness.

Sal stood there.

"I can't do this anymore", Sal said so blankly, "I've lost so many people. Why the fuck.... WHY THE FUCK IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME? FUCK", Sal couldn't even bring himself to tears at this point.

Todd sighed, stepping into the mess of the bathroom, and grabbed the folded up paper that sat on the sink. Handing it over to Sal.

"I'm going to call the police and Neil. Read that now. It's going to be marked as evidence.", Todd shut the bathroom door and walked downstairs.

Sal stood there, unfolding the paper. Not excited to what he was going to find.

I can't do this anymore, Sal. I'm sorry. I love you so much, I don't think I could love anyone more than you. That's why it breaks my heart to do this, so soon to Larry's passing too. But I just want to see my mom again. She was the only one really there for me... Other than you of course. I know that she didn't want this. I know she wanted me to live my life. But I did. I lived it to the fullest. Thank you for being in love with me. Thank you for all the good times. Thank you for showing me I could be a better person. Thank you for letting me stay here with you. Thank you for the love and affection you showed me. If only things were different. But this is for the best, I truly believe that. Please understand, and I know this is hard to ask, but please don't mourn over me. Please try to move on. I want you to know that if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even made it this far. I love you, Don't ever forget that.

- Travis

Sal folded the paper back up, and opened the bathroom door, putting the note back in place before getting on his knees, closing Travis's eyes for him.

Sal proceeded to stand back up, tears in the corner of his eyes, and closed the door, going back to his rooms ND sitting back down at his desk, opening one of the drawers pulling out a small box and opening it ever so carefully.... Staring at the ring he hoped to see Travis wear one day. But, not anymore, that era's over now. He shut the box. Placing it back in the drawer.
