I need more actor Jaemin in my life

On a small hill that stood between two sides of the city, was a bench.
A bench from where you had a unique view of the city's skyline.
At day, it made the busy streets and loud buildings feel calm and quiet in the distance. At night, it made the tired alleys and dim street lights feel lively and wide-awake surrounded by colourful lights.
It was just a bench, of course.
A bench on which a figure was sitting, knees pulled up to her chest, chin resting on her knees.
Jaemin sat down next to her. "I thought you ran away," he said. "But it turns out everyone in WayV knows where you are."
Jie hummed. "They will worry if they can't find me," she said in return. "They always know where I am."
He guessed that was probably for the best.
"Have you been here all day?" The sun was done with its daily stroll over this part of earth, having disappeared a while ago.
Despite it being night, it was still awfully warm. It was almost uncomfortable if it weren't for the occasional soft winds running through the streets and over the hills.
"I was walking around. Why are you here?"
"I wanted to give you some time," he said as he recalled how she looked at Taeyong and him earlier, recalled how she sounded when she talked.
She must have been sad. And all alone, too.
"But I also wanted to see how you were doing," he admitted.
Finally dragging her eyes away from the skyline, Jie looked at the boy next to her. He was watching her carefully. The soft lights around them glistened in his eyes. It was pretty.
"I've never seen any of you three this upset before," Jaemin added. "But you were the one I wanted to talk to the most."
She wanted to smile. It sounded kind of sweet. Yet, she held back.
"Why?"
Jaemin frowned. "You don't sound that happy," he mumbled. "I thought you feel comfortable around me?"
It was intended as a joke, yet there was a split second in which Jaemin worried that she could misunderstand. Just a second before she rolled her eyes jokingly and looked away.
"I do," she admitted. "You are annoying but I kind of like you."
Jaemin pushed out a huff. "You are even more annoying."
Instead of replying or defending herself, Jie just smiled. She nodded and just let it go.
Sitting there in silence allowed him to take a moment to get lost in his thoughts. Lost in things that bothered him, questions that filled his head.
Until he thought of something.
"All the while I thought that not lying was just a random quirk of yours," he admitted, causing her to scoff in disbelief. "But Taeyong seemed really shocked earlier, so I think there's more to it."
"He wasn't angry, was he?"
"Taeyong?" Jaemin shook his head. "Not at all."
The tight feeling in her chest eased a little. It was good to hear, even though it wasn't very surprising. She still wanted to have it confirmed.
