Doyoung isn't even in this chapter but they are so cute

Yangyang put his hands on Jie's shoulders and turned her to face him.

She was wearing an oversized shirt and sweatpants that Johnny had offered her after making yet another comment about her blood-soaked clothes.

Then Johnny left with Yuta. That was a little while ago.

When Yangyang started inspecting her outfit, Jie looked down at herself too. She knew her slender figure could never fit properly into the clothes of someone as fit as Johnny.

She didn't expect that she'd basically swim in them though.

Yangyang tilted his head to the side and smiled. "You look cute."

She nodded. "I know."

At which he stood still.

His eyes jumped up to meet hers. He watched her quietly, first, at her casual response. Then after a moment passed, he grinned proudly and wiped an imaginary tear off his cheek.

"I taught you so well," he pushed out in a voice full of cracks.

Jie rolled her eyes but quickly focused on the cuts on his face that were now clean and partly covered with plasters. His arm was wrapped carefully in a bandage.
"How are you?"

He nodded energetically. "Great." He smiled. As always. Then he looked to the side, where Jie's slender fingers were wrapped tightly around a mug full of coffee. "You seem tired."

She shook her head. "I'm good." Even though the dark circles under her eyes said something different. "What about Jeno?"

"He will be fine," Yangyang reassured. Jie hadn't been in the treatment room ever since she got there a few hours ago.

Especially after the Dreamies came she felt out of place. It didn't seem right to be nosy about their friend.

So she left.

She spent her time mainly in the living room, daring to fall asleep. She got to briefly talk to Jisung - which was how she learned his name.

She also learned that he really enjoyed the cookies from last time.

From within the sibling's lack of conversation sounded a thoughtful, slightly disapproving hum. Both quickly looked to the side where they spotted a familiar face.

It made the boy smile yet again but the girl looked rather unhappy to see him.

"Why are you still here?" Jaemin asked. He sounded bored. And he too looked tired with his slightly slumped posture and his hands sticking motionless in the pockets of his trousers.

Matching his monotone voice, she nodded towards Yangyang. "Cause he's still here." She mustered the boy. "Why? Do you want me to go?"

"I just don't really trust you."

"Says the guy that wanted to shoot me the other day." Yangyang ripped his eyes wide open. He knew about the robbery.

He didn't know about the shooting part though.

He raised a hand to interrupt them. Time out. Just a second.

"Excuse me--" he shook his head in disbelief. "You wanted to shoot her?"

Jie nodded casually. She didn't mind it after all. "And that's why I'm not the bad one here." She gave Jaemin a smug smile.

"Then who are you exactly?"
