Chaos. 

The most fitting word for what was going on in 127's apartment was chaos. 

Taeyong glimpsed over to the kitchen. Though he couldn't see what was going on inside, he could somewhat guess what was going on when he heard his friend sigh deeply. 

"If you burn another kitchen towel, you are dead!" Doyoung shouted to which Haechan replied with a mocking, 

"If YoU bUrN AnOTheR kitCheN tOWel--" 

Haechan screamed as he ran away from Doyoung. 

Doyoung almost rugby-tackled Haechan. 

Still, somehow none of the boys nor Jie could get themselves to be surprised when Haechan sprinted out of the kitchen, Doyoung closely behind him. Meanwhile, Kun sighed inside while Jungwoo said, 

"Don't worry! I will help you finish this!" 

Shortly after Haechan's scream faded in one of the rooms further back in the house, Jaehyun entered the living room. He walked up to Taeyong with his phone in his hand. 

"I answered it," Jaehyun said as he offered the older his phone. "Hope that's okay." 

Taeyong took his phone, eyes quickly scanning over the screen to see who was calling. 
"Oh. Yeah, thanks." 

Jaehyun smiled at him, then joined Jaemin and Jie on the sofa, falling into a light-hearted conversation with them that mainly consisted of them exchanging stories of past missions and complaining about their flatmates in a game of Who Has It Worse?. 

Meanwhile, Baekhyun was a little confused on the other end of the call. 

"Jaehyun are- Jaehyun? Hello?" 

"Hey Baek," Taeyong said, eyes on his friends. They had gotten closer and were continuing to do so. Seeing all the people he loved gradually turning into a big family - he couldn't have been happier. 

"Oh! Taeyong, hey!" 

He sounded overly happy, which was nice to hear. Taeyong knew that it had been hard for Baekhyun. Trying to find his place at work, suddenly playing such a completely different role with so much more responsibility - it was tough. 

But through the help of Taeyong and the rest of NCT, he was doing okay now. 

"You sound excited, what's going on?" 

"Do you remember that we talked about the senior judges probably taking bribes? You know considering unfair rulings et cetera?" 

Taeyong nodded as he agreed with a quick, "Yes." 

"So I mentioned my suspicion to the chairwoman of the ACRC the other day. I didn't really have high hopes but I thought I might as well let her know," Baekhyun told him. "But today I found out that they are going to launch an investigation to essentially clear out the Justice Ministry!" 

His enthusiasm wasn't only heart-warming, it also reassured Taeyong that it was the right decision to let him join them. 

"That's great news." 

"It is!" He sighed in relief. "I was worried at first but I think that this will really help us." 

It should. It was the first step towards making things right. 

"Also, you are calling quite late. Are you still at the office?" Taeyong asked. 

Baekhyun offered him an awkward laugh. "Yes. I still had some work to do but I will get going soon."
