Yangyang is so adorable and for what

Yangyang stepped into Taeyong's office with his arms crossed and a judging look on his face.

The office's windows were large, allowing for the room to get flooded with natural light that shone against Taeyong, almost making him glow.

He looked like an angel.

An angel that Yangyang wanted to lecture so badly that he was wearing the disapproving-parent-expression that he learned from Kun.

He knew it pretty well given that Kun was nagging him fairly often.

Immersed in his work, Taeyong didn't notice the boy at first. He was typing away on his keyboard, eyes scanning line after line of the documents and emails that clustered his computer screen.

However, Yangyang eventually cleared his throat - loudly. Exaggeratedly. And so Taeyong looked up.

"Oh, sorry," the older said, voice as gentle as ever. He smiled warmly, making the younger one feel comfortable right away.

He frowned. "Don't look at me with that friendly smile, I want to be angry at you."

"What-?"

"Did you send the Dreamies to rob Jie?" Pretty straightforward and open. He stepped closer to Taeyong's desk and watched the older one gaze back at him in surprise.

He waited for a second. There was a certain hesitation that made it evident that even if he did send them there, he didn't realize.

Yangyang clicked his tongue and exhaled heavily. "Did you accidentally send the Dreamies to rob her?"

Taeyong sat still. Then he nodded. "Maybe."

"Hyung!"

"Sorry!" he apologized quickly, then clicked on something, closed a document, opened another one just to check Yangyang's suspicion. "They just needed to get the money to check if any of it was counterfeited. It's a random shabby gas station - I didn't give it much thought."

Yangyang sighed. "Doesn't she keep you up to date with where she works?"

"She does but I-" He looked at the younger one with an apologetic look through glimmering puppy eyes. "You know they wouldn't have harmed her."

"But I don't want her to get in danger."

Taeyong grimaced, raised a brow in disbelief. "Do you know what you just said?" It sounded comical to the older.

"I know," Yangyang admits reluctantly. "It's not like I am happy about it."

"Don't worry about her too much. You know she can deal with it," Taeyong replied in a calm tone. He smiled at him yet again but the younger one didn't return it. Instead, he looked away, gaze drifting into the distance outside the windows.

The day was pretty, the sky was clear.

It felt perfectly fine. It felt like a day so calm it would be easy and quick to forget.

Easy times always passed them quicker than hard ones.

He bit the inside of his cheek nervously. Looking back at Taeyong he wondered. "Did she-"

"No," he replied. "Not yet."

Which left the heavy feeling that he carried around with him right there where it had been for the last couple of years. Weighing down on him.
