Jisung gasped. "That's his house?!" he whisper-shouted as he spotted Li Huang's mansion from a distance. "That's huge! Why is our apartment so small?" Renjun slapped the back of his head. "Ouch!"

"Focus."

Ignoring both of them, Jeno turned to Jaemin. "Will this work?"

"It has to," was all he could say.

There was no other way.

No other answer.

So even if that wasn't very convincing, Jaemin couldn't help it. He was hardly able to believe his own words. How was he supposed to get Jeno to trust him?

"It will be fine," Haechan reassured both of them quickly though. His calm nature and the easiness with which he spoke made the situation feel less threatening. "So far, nothing has gone wrong. This will go smoothly too."

He put his arms around their shoulders and then forcefully turned them around towards the car. He opened the door and motioned them to enter.

"Get in. Taeyong's waiting for us."

Indeed, Taeyong was waiting - with food. Self-made and fresh to strengthen them before the big day tomorrow.

However, just as they sat down and wanted to start eating, they were interrupted by-

A knock.

A simple knock that felt surprisingly eery.

Because this house, this address - no one knew that they were here. No one knew who lived here except for the boys themselves.

So who would knock here, at this hour?

"Start eating," Taeyong said as he got up to check who it was.

He attempted to look through the peephole but it was covered. Unsettled, Taeyong grabbed his gun. Safety off, he hid it behind his back as he opened the door just a slit to reveal--

"Taeyong," Li Huang said with a smile that was too big, too fake, too forced to appear friendly. "Nice to see you."

Trying to remain calm, he merely asked, "What do you want? I am having dinner, so I'm not in the mood to talk."

"Dinner?" he asked, excited about being able to ruin that for him. "That's great. You wouldn't mind me joining, would you?"

Taeyong watched the older man cautiously. His dark hair was gelled back, his white teeth peeked out from between his lips that were a little pale from the cold.

His eyes drifted off to inspect the handful of men that stood behind Li Huang, watching both, Taeyong and their boss, closely.

"Of course, you don't need to let me in," he assured. "Unless you don't want me to kill Jie as soon as I get back. In that case, I'd open up."

"What's going on?" Jisung asked curiously from the living room.

"Stay inside," Taeyong ordered the youngest who seemed to oblige.

A second passed ere Taeyong opened the door further. Wide, as if he had nothing to hide and nothing to lose.

Still, he didn't step away. Didn't allow Li Huang to just enter as he stood tall in the doorway.
