Lili's Heartbreak

AUTHOR's POV

"Dad could you please not go?"

"Promise I'll be a good girl."

"I'll be better in school."

"I'll make you proud." the little girl mumbled crying in between sobs. She had wiped her tears too many times but it stil kept on streaming anyway.

"Baby, I'm always proud of you, and you know that." the towering man chuckled as he knelt down on the doorway and cupped his little daughter's beautiful face. He stared at her for a moment and a faint smile suddenly formed on his lips the moment he saw beads of tears that was forming in her daughter's round expressive eyes again.

"Don't cry please. It's breaking my heart whenever I see you like this." he said softly while wiping her tears.

"Then don't go daddy please?" the little girl begged with her hands clutching on his Dad's jacket.

"You know I can't sweetie. We have our business in Thailand that I need to manage."

"I'll be back here before your vacation. I promise." the man said assuringly but the girl shook her head and started crying again.

"Then why do we have to settle here in Korea if you will keep on going back there Daddy. Let's just go back to Thailand so you don't have to be away from us. It's lonely there." the girl mumbled almost shaking from the sobs she couldn't control. Her mom hugged her tight from her back as she look at her husband with such sadness.

"Lili, life is better here in Korea. You'll have lot of great oppurnities here to grow."

"Don't worry Daddy will try his best to come back here as soon as he gets his chance okay?"

"Stop crying now." he said lovingly.

"But I hate seeing you go Daddy."

"Everytime I see you leave it hurts so much in here." the little girl uttered as she points her chest. The man held her hand and kissed it before placing it in his chest.

"It hurts so much here too whenever I leave you and your Mom." he admitted sadly while pointing his chest.

"And right now it's breaking into pieces cause I'm leaving you like that Sweetie." he said in a low voice.

"How do you manage that? whenever it hurts here?" the little girl asked pointing at his dad's chest which made the man chuckled a bit. He stared at his daughter and smiled.

"I close my eyes Lili."

"Sometimes it's better to close your eyes from the things that hurt you so it would hurt less here." he said pointing his chest.

"Do you want to try it?" he said smiling but his eyes we're showing otherwise.

"You have to close your eyes and count up to 10 before you open your eyes again." he said lovingly at her and kissed her in her cheeks which her daughter responded with nods. She slowly closed her eyes and started counting slowly.

Two....

"I love you Lisa. Always know that you're in Daddy's heart wherever I go."

Three..

Four....

"Take care of your Mom for me okay?"
