AUTHOR's POV

"Helena we need to talk." An authorative tone echoed through the entire office suite the moment the huge steel door opened, revealing a vindictive, elitist and very glamorous old woman. She sneered at the sight of her daughter's executive secretary who was trailing her from her side.

"I'm sorry Chairwoman but your Mother was adamant to see you despite my constant withholding from her attempts to barge in." the middle aged man apologized in a low bow.

"Who the hell are you to refuse me to see my own daughter?" the old woman spoke with utter disdain and the man cowered in fear when she shot him daggers with her grilling gaze.

"He's my Executive Secretary. He will only answer to me. If I tell him not to let you in, he has the authority to do so." Chairwoman Kim answered with such authority while she stares at her mother with out any expression at all.

"I didn't raise you to be this rude, Helena." the old woman commented in her deep cold tone.

"Let me recall your rusting memory Mother."

"You never raised me to be rude. You only raised, controlled and manipulated me to be your pawn."

"Know the difference." she answered with her gaze fixed on the documents she's signing, never  even throwing a single glance at her fuming mother.

"You insolent kid." The old woman gritted her teeth.

"I'm rather busy, mother. Just spit it out and state your business here. You are wasting my time." Director Kim uttered calmly which infuriates her mother even more.

"Well I guess you are that busy that you have no idea what monkey business Jennie has been doing these days." She uttered as she throws the photos in her desk. Director Kim took it  one by one and carefully examined it. Her expressions were unreadable like it didn't even bother her at all, to the old woman's utter annoyance.

"She's kissing in public...with a woman!"

"A woman, Helena!"

"And what's worst is your daughter is dating a commoner! A goddamn poor working slave!" the old woman yelled as she slammed the desk furiously.

"Does she have no morals, worse, has no brain at all?!" she bellowed which earned her a hard slap from her daughter, leaving her all stunned.

"How dare you hit your mother you insolent bitch!" the old woman roared.

"You are no mother to me."

"You lost that right when you arranged that fixed marriage and sold me off for a business deal."

"And second, how dare you speak ill towards my child." The chairwoman stood up firmly and spit those words like daggers. Her cat eyes were burning with such rage that the old woman suddenly lost her arrogant demeanor and tensely stepped back.

"She isn't your pawn so stop meddling with our life and let her be!"

"I swear, if you pull off another scheme like this, I will put a restraining order on you. I don't fucking care if you are my mother. Say goodbye to your favorite investigator who trailed my daughter cause I swear, I'll make his life a living hell."

"Stop your manipulative schemes. You have no right to judge nor control my daughter's life. It's hers and hers alone. DO YOU GET ME?" Director Kim hissed but the old woman hurled back angrier.
