KIM's RESIDENCE

It's almost an hour away before Christmas Eve.
Every home is filled with such festive vibes.
Christmas songs are already playing. You can smell the intoxicating scent of orange, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla while colorful christmas decorations and ornaments were hung everywhere.
Every home looks like Christmas, feels like Christmas and definitely smells like Christmas. It's that feeling of festivity, of warmth and nostalgia that every home gives during this time of the year.
It's suppose to be a happy and warm holiday, but in Jennie's case it's entirely different.
She stood rather disappointed while she spoke sadly on her phone and stared at the huge undecorated christmas tree that were left undone days ago. Almost all of their maids and staff have gone home for christmas, leaving her, and Lisa alone in their huge yet empty home. Irene went home to her family and Jisoo was in Samcheok-si with Dr. Shin and Ryujin.
Christmas is moment for family.. Something Jennie has been yearning to have, all these years.
"Yes Mom. I completely understand."
"I don't want to risk your safety too."
"Christmas can wait." Jennie uttered assuring but her bright tone can never mask the sadness within it.
"I'm sorry Sweetie. We really did try to leave two days prior Christmas but our pilot said that they can't get us permission to fly since the weather is at its worst. Another strong blizzard struck here in New York and all the flights were suspended since the other day." Director Kim uttered from the other line and Jennie can't help but willed a faint smile cause she understood that it's already beyond their control anymore.
"Mom, don't worry about it. We can still celebrate Christmas once you get back. Lisa and I will wait for you here."
"Just be safe there okay?"
"Are you wearing the coat that I bought for you? That's thick enough to keep you warm, Mom."
"I'll call Secretary Lee to make sure that you are well taken cared of." Jennie uttered, earning her soft chuckles on the other line.
"I'll be fine Sweetie. Don't worry about me. I am more worried about you especially Lisa." Director Kim uttered and her tone suddenly turned soft the moment she mentioned Lisa. Jennie turned silent for a moment, contemplating the right word to say.
"We'll be fine here Mom. I'll make sure Lisa will be okay." Jennie answered solemnly.
"I know Sweetie. It's just that I can't help but worry and be sad cause it'll be the first time she'll spend her Christmas with out them." she said meaningfuly and Jennie can't help but heave a deep sigh.
"That's what I worry too, Mom. But don't worry. She'll make it through. She have me. We'll try make this holiday meaningful." Jennie uttered assuring and that's the only time her Mom released a relieved sigh.
"Okay, I'll end this call now Sweetie. You rest now. I tried to call Lisa a while ago but she isn't responding. I guess she slept early tonight."
