JISOO's POV"Hey Jendeuk, please cheer up."
" Don't worry, we'll find Lisa."
"Irene and Seulgi are looking for her already. I bet she's on her way home now." I said sweetly, calling her attention as I made my way towards her and seized her into a back hug. We finally agreed to go home so Jennie could finally rest after a day of looking for Lisa.
"Don't worry about it too much okay?"
"Lisa will be fine." I uttered assuring and finally rested my chin in her shoulder and it was the only time Jennie smiled and heaved a relieved sigh. She slowly turned away from the window she was staring at and finally faced me.
"Thanks Chu. For helping me out today."
" I don't know what I would do without you." She said earnestly making me smile warmly at her.
"Well I wouldn't let you roam the entire City all by yourself Jendeuk,"
"Besides I'm worried about Lisa too." I mumbled staring intently at her and her demeanor suddenly changed.
"Jennie, please be honest with me. What's really going on with Lisa right now?" I asked seriously and Jennie's gummy smile instantly faltered. Her gaze shifted downward, avoiding my confused gaze.
A deafening silence suddenly filled us when I suddenly heard Jennie spoke.
"It's her Mom's birthday today Chu." Jennie finally answered and I just stared at her, waiting for what she's about to say.
For months, she had been meaning to ask her about it and her answer would finally confirm her speculations regarding Lisa's odd behavior.
She had sensed it since the day she first met her.
There's always something about Lisa's distant and sad eyes and why she always found her crying whenever she's alone.
She had experience that same pain almost three years ago when her Halmi died.
"It's her Mom's birthday and it'll be the first time she'll be celebrating it with out her." I heard Jennie continued with her voice cracking and I just knew that my guess was right.
Lisa did lost someone that she loves dearly in her life.
"Where is she?" I asked warily, knowing that this topic will be too sensitive and painful for Jennie too.
I know for a fact how much Lisa means in her life and I know that this thing that Lisa is going through right know is gravely affecting her well-being too. I always hear her crying herself to sleep at night and her demeanor clearly tells how damn exhausted and tired she is right now.
"She's gone. Both of them."
"They're never coming back." She uttered with her voice trembling and her eyes suddenly burst into uncontrollable tears. I intuitively held her in my arms, enclosing her in a protective hug, hoping that my warmth could somehow ease the pain and coldness she's feeling deep inside.
Jennie trembled uncontrollably as continued sobs finally consumed her, letting her melt in my arms, assuring her that I'm with her and she will never be alone.
She finally told me everything.
How Lisa's parents died and how Lisa never recovered from that and blamed herself from their death.
It was heart-breaking, to finally see her in Jennie's perspective.
I finally understood everything.
