JENNIE's POV

"Jen it's been weeks now since Lisa left."

"Have you heard anything from her yet?" Irene asked concerned as she look at me with such sympathy. She then extended her arms towards me and wrapped me in comforting hug the moment I looked down, avoiding her answer.

It's been weeks now since Lisa left me at the beach with out any proper goodbyes and explanations.

She even left her phone just to make sure that there's no way in hell I could contact her.

And just like that, she casted me off her life.

I don't even understand where I went wrong just for her to leave me that way.

All I know is how sad her eyes were, that last day we were together.

Her eyes..

It was the saddest ones.

Like it was saying it's last goodbye.

"Jen..." I heard Irene Unnie mumbled sadly as she cupped my cheeks and wiped my tears.

"Hush now. She'll be back for sure."

"You guys are the only family she has."

"She's just lost Jen.. Just give her time."

"She'll find her way back home here with you guys." Irene uttered assuring at me and flashed her sweet smile. I stared sadly at the house in front of our balcony and tears suddenly escaped my eyes.

"You know what, ever since her Mom died, Lisa would often stay here at the balcony and stare at her house all day." I whispered still staring at the house where Lisa used to live while Irene just stayed silent, waiting for what I was about to say.

"I don't get her before, but I do understand now why."

"When Lisa left me, this is all that was left for me to do." I started with my voice cracking that I tried so hard to suppress.

" I always watch her house and imagine that this fuckin accident never happened."

" I always imagine that her Mom and Dad were still alive and everything was still happy and life was still beautiful."

" I always imagine Lisa and her Mom still living there."

"That one day I will see Lisa come out from their house and come over here like she always do everyday."

"We'll hang out and talk about anything, and when evening comes, her Mom would call us for dinner and we'll eat there like a happy family like we always were.

" I always imagine her full of life. With her eyes and smiles that radiate happiness."

"God I missed those days.." I whispered sadly as I bury my face in my knees.

"Jen.. You know we can never turn back the hands of time no matter how we desperately wish for it." Irene answered softly.

" I know that Unnie."

"But a part of my heart still wish for it cause all I ever want is for Lisa to be happy again."

" When her parents died, it feels like I already lost her too."

"And now there's a huge hole in my heart cause I feel like I lost a family that I came to love and gotten used to." I mumbled lowly with my eyes welling up with tears that I could no longer contain. Irene scooted closer to me and hugged me tightly, knowing how lonely and broken I am right now.
