"Take you Back"

AUTHOR's POV

"Welcome to Cafe Streets. What can I get you for today?" Jisoo greeted at the costumer with her exhausted eyes still fixed at the screen. She unconsciously yawn and scratches her eyes, earning her a few chuckles from the costumer.

"Two Iced Americano Tall and three Chicken Salad and Grape Tomato Sandwich, to go." The tall costumer answered and Jisoo intuitively looked up at the owner of the voice whom she easily recognized.

"Kai, what are you doing here?" she asked a little surprised but the towering man just grinned back at her and answered.

"I'm here to get you out from here."

"Come on Chu you'd been working 24 hours straight. It's time to get you home." He said seriously which Jisoo responded with an exasperated sigh.

"And what if I refuse Kai? What are you going to do about it?" she asked in a challenging tone while smirking but her tired eyes could never lie how she badly needed some rest. Kai stared at her for a moment and finally answered.

"Well I'm gonna carry you and take you out of here whether you like it or not Kim Jisoo." He said smirking, giving her a "don't you even dare challenge me look", leaving Jisoo with no choice but to finally agree with him.

"Fine."

"I'll just get your order and then I'll head out from work."

"Good. I'll wait for you here then." Kai uttered and finally flashed a satisfied smile. Jisoo then called the other barista and gestured him to take over while she talks to the manager and finally head out from work.

"Let me guess, did Yeon and Seul asked you to come and get me out from work?" Jisoo asked somewhat suspicious the moment they arrived home. She let out an exasperated sigh and finally looked at him as they both got out of the car and walked towards her house. Kai has been keeping his silence the entire trip and it's quite bothersome for her cause she doesn't really know the reason why he suddenly showed up unannounced and picked her up from work.

"Do you want to talk about it inside or do you want to do it here?" Kai asked smiling as he sat on the front porch and gestured her to sit with him which she groaned at but obliged anyway.

"What is it that you want to talk about and how important that is that you have to pester me at work?" Jisoo whined the moment she sat beside him. Kai took the sandwich and drinks that he ordered and gave it to her.

"Eat first. I don't want you skipping meals again Chu." he said firmly as he look straight at her. They ate in silence when Kai suddenly spoke. His voice were somewhat sad and disappointed.

"Care to tell me what's bothering you?" he asked worriedly while his arrogant demeanor suddenly turned soft and sincere. Jisoo looked at her with furrowed eyebrows, refusing to understand what he meant.

"Why do you guys kept on thinking that I have a problem?" Jisoo complained somewhat accusingly.

"I'm perfectly fine Kai."

" I don't know what Yeon and Seul told you, but I swear, I'm fine." She continued adamantly.

"Yeon and Seul never told me anything Chu. In fact, they don't need to tell me anything."

"I just know whenever something's bothering you Kim Jisoo."

"And lately it's making me sad cause I can sense that you're starting to go back to your old miserable life again." he said with utter sadness in his tone which made her frozen from her seat cause she knew that she can never hide anything from him.
