Adam's P.O.V

"Who's the target?"

Robin asks.

"Julie Florence."

I reply. Robin's eyes widen as he looks like he figured something out.

Stop looking at me with pity! Adam loved Julie! Not me!

I scream mentally.

We snap to our senses as we hear hoof beats and carriage wheels.

A green carriage slowly appears. Out of nowhere, two assassins pop out and attack the carriage.

"Wait."

I whisper to Robin, who was about to get up. He looked uncertain, but his loyalty was strong.

After the two guards and Julie's lady-in-waiting were knocked out they finally dragged Julie out of the carriage. This is where I come in.

Before Robin could follow me, I knocked out the two assassins and helped Julie up.

"Sir!"

Robin, who was left behind, was obviously worried about his master.

"Take these two and imprison them."

I say as I toss the two assassin bodies to Robin.

"Are you alright?"

I ask Julie.

"I-I'm okay."

She said, obviously shaken up. Looking at her now, her golden hair is ruffled up, her eyes look like they could spill tears any minute, overall, I think she might faint in about a minute.

"You need to rest."

I state.

"H-how could I fall asleep?"

She asks with a stutter.

"I'll sing."

With that, I sang for her.

By the time the song was over Julie was already asleep.

I stuffed a letter that I prepared in advance into her hand. Then I went to catch up with Robin.

"Do you want to interrogate them?"

He asked.

"No, I already know who the culprit is."

I say with a mysterious smile.

Author's Note: Do YOU know who the mastermind behind Julie's demise is? See you in the next chapter!

P.s I realize how short this chapter is so I added a little theater for this chapter!

Little Theater:

Julie: So, you plan to seduce me?

Adam: Yep.

Julie: You are a man, yet you want to seduce a les. Is something wrong with your brain?

Adam: Yep.

Julie: *Throws hands up and exits the room while slamming the door*

Adam: Yep.

Julie: *Hears Adam say 'yep' storms into the room and chucks a pineapple at him* Take THAT!

Adam: Oof!

Me: Readers, this is not my fault. Blame the person who told me to write this.
