ARC 2.14

Adam's P.O.V

Visible sounds of lovemaking could be heard for what felt like miles.

It made me extremely glad that Collin was on my side.

Flashback

I could be an actress!

I think proudly.

Who else could say that they fooled everyone into thinking something was wrong? It started with the king asking for me, then Julie, then duke Cobb, and count Florence even started looking for me.

Which is why I'm currently hiding behind them while they listen to what they hear from behind the doors.

"Who would dare do something in the palace?!"

Duke Cobb's angry shout barely made a sound against the still vigorous sounds. The king holds out a hand to stop Duke Cobb.

"Let us see if we can hear anything."

We listen for a moment before.

"Ahhh~! Adam!~"

"Hnng! Anna~ahhh!~"

Loud sounds came from the room.

"Could it be Anna with Duke Winter?"

Julie asks hesitantly. Before anyone could reply, I stepped out.

"Well it can't be me."

I say. Everyone looks a bit taken aback.

"In case your wondering, I saw you guys leave the ballroom so I figured there was no problem following you. I would like to see whose behind those doors."

Flashback End

I open the doors and are disgusted by the sight I see. Anna, riding herself on a man whose hands are tied up.

Without even looking at us, Anna yells.

"Julie! Ahhh~! I'm sorry! Adam was begging me to this! Hnng!~ The Duke gets want he wants!~"

After hearing this statement, my disgust rises to new heights. The other people with me look like they feel the same.

"Are you saying I told you to do 'it' with another man?!"

I yell 'furiously'. Anna whips her head to look at me, then back at the man she's on.

"B-but... This is supposed to be you...."

She stutters.

"Clearly, he's not."

I say.

"How dare you do this in my palace?! On my queen's birthday no less!!"

The king cuts in.

"I guess since I didn't spend the night with her she wad lusting for a man."

I say. I look at Julie who looks heartbroken.

"Stop it! Ahhh~! This isn't what it looks like!"

Anna yells as she tries to get off the man. She was to entangled with him to escape though.

Julie runs out of the room and I follow her while calling her name.

I catch up to her in the garden. Her eye hold restrained tears.

"Shhhh... It's okay to cry."

I say while sitting next to her on the bench.

"W-what am I going to do?"

She sobs.

"You have me. I'll protect you."

I coax. With Anna out of the way I'll definitely seduce Julie.

Well let's just say that seducing Julie isn't going to well.

Since Anna was caught doing adultery with a prostitute Collin hired, Anna was sentenced to be stripped of her tittle and be married to the prostitute who was disguised as a servant of Collin.

The only reason Anna wasn't sentenced to jail was because I plead for her which lead to a stronger bond with Duke Cobb.

The problem was that Julie refused to let me into her heart! After Anna's betrayal she was like a cold indifferent brick.

Which is why four years later I find myself faking my death.
