ARC 2.9

Adam's P.O.V

It has been two days since the deal with the king and I am now on the way to meet Julie.

I was originally worried that Robin would be hot on my tail, but after that day at the place, he follows my orders like a bee to it's queen. I chuckle as I think of our conversation after we left the place.

Flashback

There was silence as Robin and I sat across from each other.

"I can't believe you disobeyed a kings order."

Robin said in astonishment.

"Technically, it was a request."

I corrected. Robin scoffed.

"Still, rejecting a request could be treated as treason and your head could have rolled."

Robin said with absolute seriousness.

"I knew it was a test anyway. Don't worry, I wouldn't let anything happen to you."

I say smoothly.

"I've been thinking..."

Robin trailed off.

"You've been thinking.."

I echo him.

"That I want to work even harder to prove that I deserve to be by your side!"

Robin said bravely, his ears held a faint blush. I chuckle since I haven't see this side of him.

"You do what you want to do, I can't stop you."

I say to his determined face.

Flashback End

That was the beginning of him almost never leaving my side.

I'm only able to sneak out because I assigned him to sleep in my study to guard my papers. I told him that to sharpen his senses, I'm going to sneak in on some random nights to try and steal my papers. (Though is it stealing if they're my papers?) I also told him that if he isn't asleep when I get there that I will tie him to the bed till he does.
