Max's P.O.V
I am now driving Selena to the battle of the bands venue.
I must say that gaining her trust is hard. I rub my forehead with the memory.
Flashback
I told Selena to meet at a coffee shop to 'hangout' and get to know each other. Which is why I am currently trying to sneak behind her to scare her.
After all, friends are made to scare each other.
I creep closer on hopefully sound-less feet. Just as I was about to say 'boo'.
BAM!!!
I am whacked in the head like a whack-a-mole.
Flashback End
"Are you still thinking about that time I hit you? When will you just let it go?"
Selena asks irretrievably.
"When it stops hurting, or when I die. Whatever comes first."
I say seriously.
Selena makes her 'Is he making a joke?' Face. It is clear to me that this villainess lacks social interaction. To be clear, she lacks interaction with people who are not icebergs.
We finally arrive at then venue and imedeatly find Blue Star.
"Hey guys, this is a friend from work, Selena. Selena, this is Billy, Jane, and Jade."
I say while pointing at everyone.
"Did you save a seat?"
I ask Billy. He points to a spot in the front row.
"You can sit there. Wish me luck!"
I say to Selena.
The band goes backstage and waits for our turn.
Many bands have gone, including Carl's but none of them are as good as ours.
"A one, a two. A one, two, three, four!"

When we're done it is clear who the winner is.
We take home a trophy, and 500 dollars.
"Thanks for coming."
I say while shaking Selena's hand. I drived her home because one, I picked her up. Two, the band agreed to meet tomorrow for next steps. So the rest of my night was free.
"Thanks for inviting me."
Selena says calmly.
"See you at work tomorrow!"
I say before driving off.
"See you."

Well, it looks like Selena will be seeing me more often.
