Adam's P.O.V
I am currently on my way to Duke Cobb's estate to sign our trade contract, and I am SO EXCITED!
This deal will strengthen my connection will the duke.
"Welcome to the Cobb estate. The Duke is currently entertaining a unexpected guest, would you like me to take you to the parlor to wait?"
The young butler asks.
"Please take me to his office, it's urgent."
I say coolly.
The butler leads me up a staircase and down the hall before knocking on a sturdy door.
"Duke Winter is here."
If you're wondering where Robin is, I sent him on a few errands. So I only have an escort guard following me.
"Come in."
The duke's voice answers.
I walk into a spacious office with bookshelves lining the walls and a huge desk towards the back.
Behind the desk was Duke Cobb, and in front of the desk, sitting in one of the two chairs was none other than Collin Lon.
"Am I interrupting something?"
I ask while playfully leaning on the doorway.
"No, no, my guest was just leaving."
The Duke said indifferently.
"Sir Lon, you will have my answer tomorrow."
With that, Collin stood up and walked towards the exit. As he walks past me I bump into him and slipped a letter into his coat. (A/N: What is with you and the letters?!)
Why he was wearing a coat in June was beneath me. Since the coat made it easier to slip the letter I didn't think much about it.
The slipping of the letter though, did not go unnoticed by Collin, he gave me a side-eye stare before leaving.
"Sit Duke Winter."
