Max's P.O.V
We are now sitting in Xavier's office, and I must say that his cold mask is cracking.
"During the interview I specifically asked whether or not you were in a relationship, Ceil."
He says with a chilling voice.
"We're not in a relationship! We're just friends!"
I quickly say. Xavier looks at me dubiously.
"Get out."
I waste no time and grab Selena's hand to drag her out of the office.
"Sorry about that, I don't know what's wrong with him.''
Selena apologizes.
"No worries! What are friends for?!"
I say while laughing. It's a good thing Selena opened up to me about her past, or she would think I'm a stalker or something.

It is now a new day and yesterday's fiasco is a thing of the past!
Selena and I are getting on the elevator that happened to have the heroine on it.
"It's been a long time miss Lola."
I say with a smile.
"It's been about a week Mr.... Oh gosh! I never got your name!"
The heroine says, looking a bit flustered.
"I'm secretary Ceil, you can call me Max."
I say with a business smile. I feel a bit happy when a twinge of jealousy flicks across Selena's face.
"Alright Max!"
Lola says cheerfully.
At this point the elevator doors were about to close when a hand sloped slipped in between the doors.
It was none other than CEO Tang. Of all the rotten luck!
"Hope you don't mind me coming in here."
Xavier says in an annoying voice.
"How could we mind?! You're the CEO! How could you mingle with lowly secretaries and employees like ourselves!? You have graced us with your presence!"
It my sound a bit overkill, but I wanted to have a few hidden meanings. (A/N: Max is basically saying that a CEO has a high position so he and a secretary couldn't be together, so Xavier should back off. Max also made it sound like he didn't intentionally say that.)
The doors close and the elevator is full of an uncomfortable silence.
As we were going up, the elevator stops, but the door doesn't open.
"What is going on?"
Selena mutters.
I suddenly have a chilling thought.
Don't tell me the 'getting stuck in an elevator' scene happens today?!

That wasn't the end of it. Almost EVERYDAY.
Tripping into each other, accidentally meeting, locked in rooms together. Even Selena and I were included in the awfulness! WHEN WILL MY SUFFERING END!!!!!!
On top of that, I'm now sitting in front of Xavier after Selena went home.
Well this is awkward.
