Selena Spring's P.O.V
It has been two weeks since the incident and two weeks since I took sick leave as a secretary.
If you're wondering why I haven't gone back to work, it's because I'm too afraid to face 'him'.
At first he was just another colleague, someone who became Xavier's secretary and was (thankfully) not a girl.
When he first offered to be my friend, I thought that he had some ulterior motive. I had seen him make friends within the company as if it was nothing. Compared to me, who everyone is afraid of, Max was like a shining star.
He took me to meet his band, drove me to work, and even taught me to swim! He was truly an angel.
There was only on question in my heart.
Do I love him?
Ever since my parents died I have lived with the Tang's. This is where I fell in love with Xavier.
Even though he was never exceptionally nice to me, it was like some unknown force was telling me that he is mine, and no one else can have him.
I started to do everything like him. Eating habits, personality, even schedule!
He never noticed me though. So, I decided that just being by his side would be enough. I even gave up my parents company to work as Xavier's secretary!
When we were attacked I was so scared. I noticed that on the sleeves of the bad guys, they had my family's crest on it. It was then that I remembered that a few days prior my uncle asked how I felt about Xavier dating an employee.
At first I didn't know what he was talking about, but then he showed me pictures of the girl (Lola was it?) Who had been bumping into Xavier, Max, and I. I had already looked into her and found out that all of those incidents were completely coincidental.
I told my uncle that those two weren't in a relationship. He hung up on me.
I didn't realize he was going to do something like this.
Max had already taken down one of the two men who attacked us when he went to help Xavier.
The masked man pulled out a gun, I shouted a name....
"Max!"
...But it wasn't Xavier's, it was Max's.
I called his name!
At this point, I don't know what exactly my feelings are.
Was my 'love' for Xavier just a childhood crush? Am I truly in love with Max?
Only time will tell....
