System: Seduce The Villainess

ARC 2.3

Adam's P.O.V

Robin and I arrived at the place by carriage, because apparently, no one at the Capitol has seen me for twelve years, and because it is 'proper' to ride in a carriage.

"Do I have to go in?"

I ask in a slightly whining tone. Adam sighs.

"Yes, you do. You're a duke now, you have to attend these things to gain connections."

He says, looking quite tired. If you didn't know, I spent the last hour complaining about this topic. Not even including the twenty minute carriage ride here.

"Ugh!"

I mutter as I step out of the carriage.

The palace looks almost exactly like Cinderella's except that this one looks older and less shiny. (A/N: Just so you know, this was a total LOL moment for me.)

Robin and I approach the doors to the ballroom. I can faintly hear the sound of people's names being announced.

Perfect.

If we would have arrived late my plans would have been runed. I guess having a Robin alarm clock isn't so bad.

"The Young Duke Winter!"

As soon as my name is announced, almost everyone looked at me. It was excepted because the older men and women would want to make connections, and the younger women would want to court me because I'm one of the top three bachelor's.

If you're wondering who the other two are, it's the crown prince, who is nineteen, and Anna's brother, who is twenty.

Collin doesn't make the cut because he's a marquis son, even though he has a relatively high status, lacks the power and looks of duke rank and above. Especially since he has red eyes and hair, he practically screams 'villain!'.

So basically, I'm the hottest bachelor right now. It is unfortunate that to complete my plans, I have to get married.

Looking around the ballroom, I can see that Julie paid no attention to me.

That's better if she doesn't meet me sooner than planned.

I decided to look around and socialize. Even though I don't have personality seeds, Adam has been separated from the capital for most of his life. Only close people like Robin would notice a change.

"Duke Winter,"

I turn around and smile at the sight.

"Duke Cobb,"

I say politely. I thought that the best personality would to be warm. Not to cold, but not to overly friendly.

"I do believe this is the first time we've met. Your father loved to brag about you though."

Duke Cobb said with a chuckle. I can tell Duke Cobb is a kind man. So where did the Anna mishap come from?
