It has been a month since I first joined Tang Industries. Things are okay. I mean, still haven't really talked to the villainess, but that will change today!
I arrive at work early so I can leave a note for Selena to meet me after work. Then I look at my assignments.
("They really want me to die!")
["Who is 'they'?"]
("You know! 'They'! The higher-ups!")
["Oh yes, they went through all this trouble just to make you suffer."]
("You know it!")
"Multiply 18, 624 × 26, 986?!? Are they nuts??!"
I say out loud. If there weren't calculaters, I'd be in HUGE trouble.
It's FINALLY lunch and I go sit down by my finance friends.
"Something beating you up?"
Chen asks.
"No, just.... MATH."
I say.
"I know! When I was in middle school, math was sooooooo hard! Then my mom hired a tutor for me and I suddenly rocked at it!"
Ali said enthusiastly.
"How did you suddenly 'rock' at it?"
Ze asked suspiciously.
"I don't know."
Ali shrugged.
"Apparently I mixed up minus with equal, and plus with times."
I put my fun glasses on my forehead.
"How did you get those guys mixed up?"
I ask astonished.
"Meh,"
We just finish eating before going back to work.
