Skyler’s POV
As I closed the bathroom door behind me, a small smile crept on to my face. Keaton was so nice. And probably the only person I have ever trusted and the only friend I have properly had. Spreading out the tee he had given me, I found it was a Bullet for My Valentine. It was nice to have something in common with someone. The shower looked simple, just turn it to the left; I can do that. Letting my clothes fall to the floor around me, I stepped in to the steaming shower, washing away anything that needed to be. The warm soothed my muscles and bruises, it was a welcomed feeling. I didn’t bother washing me hair, takes too long and anyway I can do it at home, not like I’m homeless. Stepping out I quickly dried myself. I’m not really the one to use other people’s toilets let alone showers.
Sliding back on my clothes, except my old tee, I sighed. For once I felt appreciated. Slipping on Keaton’s tee, it was big but I like big tees. Opening the door, I saw Keaton making his way downstairs in his destroyed jeans, a Blink One eighty Two tee and a snapback. At home I had my own collection of snapbacks.
“Keaton!” I called after him, running up to catch with him. He smiled and led me downstairs. Wesley was sitting on the sofa, flicking through the channels.
“Heya love birds!” Wesley joked. My cheeks heated and Keaton tackled Wesley to the ground, playfully of course. They both ended up laughing. In the end Wesley managed to speak after Keaton had rolled off him. “Drew will be here soon.” Wesley got back on the sofa Keaton next to him. Sitting down across from them, I pulled my phone out.
“Anyone wanna go skating?” Keaton piped up after Wesley couldn’t find anything decent to watch. Damn. Just remembered my board had died this morning. Should hold a memorial for it… I’m only joking. Not that cray cray.
Someone opened the front door. Wesley got up so quickly I thought he was going to collapse from dizziness.
“What happened to your board Skyler? Didn’t see you bring with you.” Keaton asked. I looked down at my phone, just to check the time.
“It broke when she feel.” Someone spoke up just as I opened my own mouth to speak. The voice I recognised and as I looked up I found it was the guy who had saved me snoz.
“Yep and this guy saved me from falling flat on my face.” I said as the guy walked further in to the room. Keaton raised his eyebrow at me.
“You know Drew?” He asked almost protectively. Drew and I both nodded in sync.
“This morning. But still I have no board.” Drew laughed and winked at me. His smile was heart-warming too like the other two guys in the room.
“I’m sure we can go get one. I would like to know who you are.” Drew blurted. Laughing wasn’t my best trait, it comes out in short bursts and kinda retarded. But hey that’s just me.
“I have no money and I have no intention of going home yet.” Keaton stood, holding out his hand to help me up. Such a gentleman.
“Skyler, it was your birthday the other day, so take this as a present.” Wesley piped, folding his muscly arms over his torso. Keaton looked at me.
“Yes a birthday present!” Keaton said suspiciously, raising his eyebrow. Drew stood too and we all headed out.
After walking for a while, we soon came to the entrance of the mall, walking straight in receiving looks from all the girls that were there. Jealousy burned in to the back of my head like a huge bush fire.
“Do you get looks from girls all the time like this?” I whispered to Drew as he was the closest to me. An arm was now slung around my shoulder.
